6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRiverside was our families choice of school and here’s why! We are a 3rd time enrolled family, and I said family because the school is very good at incorporating the families/guardians/ parents in the day-to-day activities that go on at school and this ranges from newsletters to interactive events and different activity meetings from parent teacher conferences to PTA and so fourth. This school has found a productive way to dial in on what I like to call us “un traditional parents” in helping keep our kids on track while home life may not always be the most stable. The environment always feels welcoming to families of diversity and the staff holds a unique ability to deal with parents who struggle to coparent productively! Riverside hasn’t given our family the indication that our child isn’t safe when attending school, as parents/guardians have always been notified promptly when odd circumstances arise. Riverside hasn’t given us any indication that our child has been treated poorly or unfairly by any of the staff. The curriculum always seems fair and appropriate for the grade and student and furthermore our child always looks forward to attending and often speaks highly of his time spent here. We checked out a few surrounding schools along with comstock and Gull lake, we found the staff at riverside to be more relatable as individuals and more inclusive when speaking about diversity and special needs. All thought the principles at the other schools were very kind and had great schools to offer, it was the principle at Riverside who flet far more down to Earth and held a deeper level of understanding of the non traditional families! I can’t express that enough. This was most important when making our choice!Parent Review9mo ago4 Reviews - Calhoun Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePreschool program is great!! They don’t do exit interviews for good kids leaving. Rules during Covid and forward do not apply to board member kids only yours! And watch the treatment of board member kids over the rest of the kids. Interesting…they get away with bullying and so much more! They take in kids expelled from public schools for money and leads to high concerns for your child’s safety!Parent Review1y ago3 Reviews - St. Joseph Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have high praise for St. Joseph and St. Philip Schools, also known as Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools! They offer an impressive blend of academic excellence, strong community, and well-rounded extracurriculars. The emphasis on small class sizes, experienced staff, and high standards in both academics and safety shows a clear commitment to creating a nurturing and secure environment for students. They welcome diversity while also upholding Catholic values, creating an inclusive atmosphere that promotes personal growth and a strong moral foundation. The variety of family-oriented events and extracurricular activities really enhance the sense of community and allow families to stay engaged and connected. It’s clear the schools have put significant thought and resources into their programs and facilities, especially with recent security upgrades. They’re setting students up for success in college and beyond, which makes them a valuable choice for anyone in the Battle Creek area. St. Joseph and St. Philip truly offer a holistic approach to education!Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews
