I love this school I get to have fun Friday!

Norrback is a wonderful school and has been a positive experience for my 3 children, who currently attend. This is not a "heard through a friend" review; this is a firsthand, objective review weighing performance over 5+ years. That said my children haven't gone through 5th and 6th grade yet so I can only speak to K-4th. The learning experience has been very positive with solid teaching. Academically, it's one of the better elementary schools in the city. No complaints there!The school has resources and takes steps to prevent bullying and support mental health. If there's bullying it's dealt with immediately. It's a secure environment. There's a feeling the staff and administration that genuinely cares about their students' safety and well-being. The special education team is EXCELLENT! Can't say enough about how strong they are at Norrback. My younger two have IEPs and have seen significant progress across the board. The family engagement is really good, with multiple school-led and PTO-led events every year. There's always a strong turnout from families. It's a true school community, which is important. Definitely recommend Norrback.

I am extremely pleased with this school and very happy with my son’s achievements. After completing Pre-K, he is now in kindergarten and thoroughly enjoying each day. The teachers are excellent, providing individual attention to each student’s progress. I highly recommend this school!

My experience has truly been amazing. The community is very positive and overall a good learning atmosphere. The learning is amazing. They keep things fun and interesting while also challenging you or your child. The teaching is good. Homeroom teachers are very kind and positive and so are some specials teachers. I don't have any complaints for the specials teachers except for the art program. The art teacher is very disrespectful, rude, disempowing, and in my opinion should not be working with kids at all. The emotion support is also very good. Teachers are very understanding and so is admin. if you send your child to city view, you can for sure trust that your kid will have the emotional support they need. Special education is also very good and city view even has Step classes for your child. The safety is also pretty good. There will be fights but its not the schools biggest problem, infact the school doesn't have any big problems. Family engagement is also amazing. Admin and teachers are very good at helping families and answering questions when asked. Thank you for reading and I would for sure recomend city view discovery school for your child.
