The administrators at this institution not at a loss for self bravado. Unfortunately this falls woefully short of the reality! Their rating as among the "top schools in MA" is derived more from the self selection of students who excel at taking standardized tests vs pedagogy, For starters, the curriculum was out dated as well as its mode of delivery e.g. lecture, students take notes with an occasional lab. Efforts to move teaching methods forward to more meaningful hands-on experiential learning were snuffed out by very conservative parents who, in turn influenced a meddlesome board, who in turn installed weak administrators as puppets to do their bidding. More over, this school was utterly clueless about addressing the needs of IEP/504 students. Overall, the environment was politically toxic, not knowing who to trust and constantly having to look over your shoulder. If you are looking for a top notch school do not be fooled by this institution's rating based exclusively upon MCAS scores.
