"You see lots of people walking dogs but most people as myself are refused rentals in these same neighborhoods because of a few incidents from others who care not to pick cleanup of lease their dogs. Otherwise great place"

"The public transportation is good. The bus station is six short blocks away from my home. There are several bus routes to take you all over the city."

"Certain areas are becoming crowded with all of the new builds. Street parking can be challenging at times. Most neighbors are great but some are not very considerate when it comes to noise levels and parking. "

"SOWA is great. Sidewalk shopping days at local businesses. But it’s less about events, more about living in the perfect place for a summer evening stroll, glasses clinking at small restaurants, music on the breeze. "

"I drive myself to work in Revere and it is not bad at all a bad commute from how to work. The MBTA is accessible however, it would take about an hour and forty five minutes to two hours just to get to work. "

"I bike 2 miles down Dudley to Tremont. Not the safest way to go. Lots of buses, street parking, weird intersections... but there is a path on a different road, just takes a bit longer. "

"Dog owners would love the fact that there is a pretty dog park , and dog friendly parks all around. People normally love dogs so 10 times out of 10 you’ll get someone who wants to pet your dog , wether it be a small child or adult."

"Highland Park/Fort Hill is an amazing place to raise kids. There a ton of young families in this diverse community. Our kids love the parks. It’s also really quiet for a city neighborhood. "

" Close to everything but not worth it. It’s nice that you are close to a lot of the city and a lot of other surrounding cities but it is way too unfriendly to live here. I hate living here."

"It all depends on what part you live in. You have plenty of your ups and downs. Perks is that your close to city, cons the prices on a lot of houses and apartments have sky rocketed and it can be very hard for people to live in."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was not happy when my son was assigned to this school since we live over 7 miles away and it takes him 45 minutes on the school bus. But we have realized that we WON the lottery! His teachers have been amazing. While he was on Ms.Hiatt's class she emailed constantly not matter what, I would receive a reply within 24 hours but usually the same day. The communication was amazing! I wish they expanded until 8th grade, its worth the trip!!Parent Review10y ago5 Reviews - Samuel W. Mason Pilot Elementary

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was told this was a great school, it may have been many years ago, but for the past 5 years all I have done is gone to this school and tried to get one child help, same child, same issues, asking for help guidance suggestions and ultimatley its oh well its the child's job to figure it out because they feel they have done all they can, well if you feel you have done all you can and it hasnt helped this child one bit, how about lets get this child the help he needs and deserves with out the politicsParent Review7y ago1 Reviews - Trotter Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe reason why I rate this school three stars because the students were bullying me for no reason they were teasing me about my weight and none of the staffs did anything about it at all and the co worker lady in the cafeteria made false accusations about me calling out sick alot and she was rushing me on my job i would never ever work for the trotter elementary school anymore.Other Review2mo ago3 Reviews - Haynes Early Education Center

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is terrible. The student body has extreme behavior issues that prevent most teaching and learning from happening. In classrooms you will see kids throwing things and screaming, and ignoring staff. Students are mean to each other and disrespectful to adults. Academic performance is very low - only 5-10% of students are at grade level. There are no real consequences for student misbehavior or academic failure. Safety is a serious concern. There are constant student fights, property damage, and acts of violence against other students and staff. Used needles are regularly found on school grounds (staff does their best to mitigate this, but it is still extremely unsafe). I recommend that parents send their children elsewhere.Other Review8mo ago3 Reviews - Paige Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy granddaughter has only been going there since September but I am so impressed with this school. There is a low student/teacher ratio, it is racially diverse, the teachers are well educated and promote an environment of healthy living and learning. Most important to me....they are king, available and my granddaughter loves the school and the chickens!Other Review4y ago3 Reviews
