"I don’t have kids, but this neighborhood is really safe! I live right down the street from a school and honestly it can feel like a suburban neighborhood at times. "

"Lots of people with dogs in this area! Everyone is super friendly and the parks with occasionally (informally) become mini dog parks when there aren’t crowds of people. I hear they’re building a new one soon though!"

"Great for single people who want a convenient and affordable place to live. Fun, neighborhood bars, easy access to the city, and the cost of living is reasonless for Boston. "

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is pretty decent but also has its downs. I'm just going to give a quick summary: the men's bathrooms have piss all over the floor, the school does almost nothing to stop fights in middle school. But, the school also teaches well in math and english. Until these things are improved, I do not recommend this school.Student Review1y ago - German International School Boston

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love my school! I‘ve been a student for a long time now and have always had enjoyable learning experiences. I have lots of friends at gisb and all my pears are great to work with! The teachers care about each student and teach with enthusiasm and patience. Even in ninth grade they find a way to explain difficult topics with games and fun worksheets. The preparation for exams is exquisite and extremely helpful. Since we are a small school everyone knows everyone. There are lots of friendships in various classes. The overnight class trips are always great and bring the class even closer. Since my school teaches both English and German on a fluent speaking level, I have the option to study in the US and in Germany. We have a great college counselor that also helps you apply at schools in other countries. My siblings both have similar experiences. Overall I am so glad I’m at this school and I don’t plan leaving it.Parent Review1y ago - St. Anthony Elementary School
