A terrible school for even worse people. The experience is absolutely horrendous. I'm currently in 7th grade at the moment and this school is trash. Especially the older students'(7th-8th grade) behavior and bullying problems. To go more in depth, I have a bff who's transgender( go search up this term if you're unaware of it) and he's constantly getting bullied about it. The spinless teachers do absolutely nothing about this however, as they just let him get bullied and say nothing. This school is supposed to be supportive and protective of LGBT students and yet with me and my bff's experiences thus far, the students and teachers don't care for queer people. Another thing, since the teachers don't do anything about my friend's bullying, he is always unfairly in trouble and when I try to step in and help, they won't let me. They also called me and him a ton of offensive slurs and mean words that are but not limited to:

Both of my daughters have attended Swanson. My youngest attended for first grade, and my oldest attended for 1st, 2nd, and 4th. The teachers are wonderful. They care about the students and push them to excel! The climate at the school is very welcoming. You can tell the leadership is good by the way the staff interacts, and this school's leadership is great! The principal (Mrs. Amy Troyer) is very present in the day-to-day. She led the school to National Blue Ribbon status for the 2021 school year, and that is no easy feat coming out of a pandemic! The teachers are so dedicated and caring! My daughter's teacher even came to her going away party. We love Swanson and have been proud to be a part of such a caring and supportive school community!

This school has been great for both of my kids. It is diverse and also offers an outstanding education. Sports and other extracurriculars are well-done, and there is a strong sense of community. Our third child will also be going to school there when he is of age. Highly recommend!

After having children at St. Joseph Grade School for 18 years, our final child graduated from 8th grade this year. This is a wonderful school that provides a solid foundation for a strong Catholic faith. By educating our children’s hearts and minds in the Holy Cross tradition—making God known, loved, and served—the school fosters both spiritual and academic growth. The high-quality education my children received has provided them with the academic foundation necessary for success in high school and beyond. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers!
