"It’s a quite area I like it and I will choose it again if I find a bigger space right now am looking for. Bigger space. Again I wish they will have public transport because sometimes you don’t feel like driving, so they need to have public transportation. Again the area is very neat too, and hardly seen armed robbery or any terrible crime."

"I’m not sure I don’t have any pets but I guess they would still like it here there is a beautiful dog park nearby at the Hammond/Highland border off of Indianapolis Blvd. Most dogs I’ve come across in the area are pretty well trained and friendly. "

"Just moved in. But I did see a few people walking their dogs. No one was using pooper scoopers!!! Not sure what they like or dislike. I dislike dogs pooping on my grass with their owners right there!!"

"While one should be careful where one lives in Hammond, this is a fairly decent, and quiet area. (A family member has lived in this area a few years...I visit regularly both during the day and in the evening.) The mortgage would usually be much less than a moderate apartment. Schools are average to slightly below average. However, you are about 9-10 minutes away from various protestant/catholic schools. "

"This town had gotten worse by the year. We're moving to a town that keeps up and cares about it's appearance. They overlook businesses all over town that let their buildings go and my mother in law gets a notice for chipped paint on her front CEMENT porch? Ghetto atmosphere. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to school there for years, my overall experience was bad. It started in middle school when the current principal of the school did absolutely nothing about the bullying going on at the school. students have reported about other students talking bad, posting things alone and rumors. when a substitute made a rude and racist comment all the principle cared for was if any parents complained and not the student, making another teacher step in and talk about the situation. The lunch we were gave was definitely not enough especially for children and some being gross. Many other students who currently go and others that have graduated can agree with this. no proper heating or ac in classrooms, and I have witnessed the principal make a very nasty look at a student who was doing nothing but saying hi. She was very rude and so was other staff, yelling at small children that were just being kids. very bad experience, do not send your kids here unless you want to hear about how bad their day was.Other Review3mo ago8 Reviews
