"There are lots of sports centers.... In door and outdoors. There's lots of soccer, and baseball. The Horseshoe is also in Hammond and they host concerts from all genres of music. "

"It’s a quite area I like it and I will choose it again if I find a bigger space right now am looking for. Bigger space. Again I wish they will have public transport because sometimes you don’t feel like driving, so they need to have public transportation. Again the area is very neat too, and hardly seen armed robbery or any terrible crime."

"I’m not sure I don’t have any pets but I guess they would still like it here there is a beautiful dog park nearby at the Hammond/Highland border off of Indianapolis Blvd. Most dogs I’ve come across in the area are pretty well trained and friendly. "

"Moved back in 2017, I would not suggest it if you have school aged children. Hammond school system stinks badly. I’m near Purdue Calumet which isn’t bad because there’s an extra police presence "

"not a bad place to live in certain pockets, but crime is a problem and and some residents don't maintain their properties as well as they could. still very family oriemted. you'll see parents walking their kids to and from school. summer is fun with all the events the mayors office brings in. "
