"I lived in Bridgeport for 2 years. I feel safe taking walks with my little ones with out stepping in poop . People don’t hang out on corners My street is pretty quiet . My neighbors are friendly. "

"it's a pretty safe neighborhood given no neighborhood will be free of crime all the time. the walking distance to stores isn't the worst. "

"People like me are not/never invited to those type of things around here. There are schools, parks, playgrounds and other landmarks that can make the neighborhood fun"

"Bridgeport has changed a lot in the last 10 years, mainly for the better. It is more diverse, more inclusive, more trendy restaurants and shops (and I hope more still to come), but still has the neighborhood feel"

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has only improved year after year on education wise and in my opinion if you take time to talk to the teacher about the problem u need they will sit down and talk to you about what you need. Bullying wise not every school can stop bullying but it is a thing that shouldn’t be allowed and I’m not gonna lie it’s not there best game but they try there best to find and figure out situation sitting you down one on one together they take talk to both sides one on one and help a lot with what they can. Teacher wise they hire a lot of staff and it’s not like there hiring random people there amazing loyal and very helpful. I think this might be the best teaching staff available going to a school there very loyal helpful kind and try what they can to make you happy. They know what there doing and there good at it. The leadership is kinda there there great with the students and show them kinda what they should do they let them take there own path trying to help the most caring for them at the most important time. The friends you can make at this school is cool most of them are nice. This school is kinda like what’s gonna happen to your child it’s going change Ethel and it’s really only gonna be good. this school is good and I would recommend it.Parent Review2y ago - Mcclellan Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageArmour is an excellent neighborhood school! As a kindergarten parent, I've been very impressed with my son's academic progress in a short period of time. The school environment is warm and empathetic, and my son's teacher is communicative and responsive to my questions and concerns. My kiddo clearly feels safe and comfortable at school and looks forward to the school day. The school's academic performance metrics have improved significantly under Principal Chuu's leadership, and she has secured significant resources to fund brand new STEM labs that are used by all grade levels. I'm confident that Armour will be a great place for my son to attend K-8 and am very pleased to have a top-shelf neighborhood school so close to our home.Parent Review1y ago - Ward J Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two boys at St. Jerome, going into 5th and 2nd. This is our second year and I am VERY happy with the school. Academically, I feel they are really being challenged. I am a big fan of the curriculum-they teach the common sense, fundamentals that kids need without all the nonsense public schools are teaching these days. There is very strong parental involvement and tons of activities that the kids get involved with generous jeans to support causes, many field trips, mother-son mayhem, father-daughter dance, all-school picnic and many other unique activities that I haven't seen at other schools.Parent Review9mo ago - St Barbara Elementary School
