Tritt Elementary has been an amazing school for our family. The teachers and staff truly care about every student and create a welcoming, supportive environment where kids can thrive.What makes Tritt so special is the incredible community. The PTA brings families together through fun events and volunteer opportunities, while the Tritt Tiger Foundation (TTF) provides funding for technology, classroom resources, and programs that enrich every child’s education.We’re so grateful to be part of the Tritt family and highly recommend this school to any family looking for a strong academic experience and an outstanding community.

GME is a wonderful school with a great community feel. There is a dedicated STEM lab instructor which allows the students to fully engage in STEM based activities outside their homeroom. There is also a school garden that allows teachers and students a quiet place to connect with nature while providing an outdoor classroom to observe the plant lifecycle, experience different fruits and vegetables and so many other things. Additionally, there is a nature trail on the school property with seating areas that also allow for outdoor learning. The teachers and staff are committed to seeing their students succeed and working with them to ensure they have every opportunity to do so. Communication from the teachers and administration is frequent and thorough. In addition to the county run ASP, the school offers a number of after school clubs covering a variety of interests. There are also many community building events held at the school throughout the year that further engage parents, students and families. Overall it is a fantastic school and community.

One of the area's best kept secrets.

My family attended school from Pre-K through 3rd grade, and I wish I could revisit those years. After switching to a more conventional school, my children fell significantly behind. Their earlier environment was magical, full of outdoor activities, creativity, and kid-appropriate opportunities, but they missed key learning fundamentals—particularly in ELA, like basic sentence structure. Additionally, some topics discussed were not suitable for their age. I was considered too conservative, but I simply want to introduce certain topics and subjects at home. The school was not supportive, despite all they talk about!

Both of my children have grown so much while attending Wood Acres. They have learned that hard work is rewarding while being emotionally supported by their peers and their teachers. As a former Cobb county teacher, I feel much happier with my kids at Wood Acres and not on screens at their districted schools. The parents at Wood Acres are very friendly and welcomed us into school events with open arms. The principal takes the time to learn my children’s names and follow their progress throughout the grade levels. Even the security personnel greet me at drop off and dismissal with a smile and a wave. My children feel safe and secure here, and I feel like I’ve made the right choice for them as their parent.
