My family attended school from Pre-K through 3rd grade, and I wish I could revisit those years. After switching to a more conventional school, my children fell significantly behind. Their earlier environment was magical, full of outdoor activities, creativity, and kid-appropriate opportunities, but
Posted by a community member on 8/12/2026We stumbled upon this school 8 years ago when we enrolled for summer camp based on a recommendation from one of my older sons friends mom. I have 4 boys and they were all in the Walton high school district. My youngest son is 7 years younger than his next oldest brother. By the time he got to kinder

Posted by a community member on 7/9/2026We initially chose High Meadows amongst a list of the top private schools in the area based on the outdoor/activity component and the IB curriculum. Our child has been at HMS since Pre-K and stayed through 1st grade. There are many parts of the HMS experience we find so unique; we love the play base
Posted by a parent on 1/2/2026As a parent, I appreciate some of what High Meadows School offers—especially the focus on nature, outdoor time, and limiting screen exposure. They allow for creative curriculum development and give teachers some autonomy, which can be great for kids who don’t thrive in a rigid system. However, there

The teachers and staff truly care about every student and create a welcoming, supportive environment where kids can thrive. What makes Tritt so special is the incredible community. The PTA brings families together through fun events and volunteer opportunities, while the Tritt Tiger Foundation (TTF) provides funding for technology, classroom resources, and programs that enrich every child’s education. We’re so grateful to be part of the Tritt family and highly recommend this school to any family looking for a strong academic experience and an outstanding community.Parent Review2mo ago - Shallowford Falls Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children have grown so much while attending Wood Acres. They have learned that hard work is rewarding while being emotionally supported by their peers and their teachers. As a former Cobb county teacher, I feel much happier with my kids at Wood Acres and not on screens at their districted schools. The parents at Wood Acres are very friendly and welcomed us into school events with open arms. The principal takes the time to learn my children’s names and follow their progress throughout the grade levels. Even the security personnel greet me at drop off and dismissal with a smile and a wave. My children feel safe and secure here, and I feel like I’ve made the right choice for them as their parent.Parent Review1mo ago - Creative Montessori School-Marietta
