"I LIKE TENLEYTOWN BECAUSE IT HAS A LARGE VARIETY OF AMENETIES WITHIN A SHORT WALKING DISTANCE FROM MY HOUSE. I CAN GROCERY SHOP, GO TO THE GYM, DINE OUT WITH FRIENDS AND ACCESS THE RED LINE IN 10 MINUTES OR LESS."

"There are few green places now. But, at one time there were many."
  • ROBERT D.
"It is a self-contained neighborhood far above the downtown area. It is even above the Washington Cathedral and Cathedral Commons neighborhoods. There are unique gathering places for the American University crowd in addition to hangouts for the usual adult crew. It's a place filled with hilly geography."
  • ROBERT D.
"I take both the subway and the Metrobus equally into town. Some days I take taxis to appointments. It is a neighborhood with many old trees casting their shade and filled with birds and squirrels."
  • ROBERT D.
"Tenleytown has the tony schools in the city. Both Wilson and Georgetown Day schools are located here. Even the youngsters attend Janney school here in Tenleytown."

"The area between Fort Reno and Wisconsin Ave. is a tight-knit community where children play together, and people even know one another’s pets. Neighbors are very supportive of one another. "

"I live in this area and love it. I enjoy being in the city but a bit away from the hectic downtown. Still, I can avail easily of all the city has to offer. "
