What Locals Say about Wakefield

  • Jeriann Hayes
"The Muhlenburg park next door is a nice green space, but too many irresponsible dog owners don’t pick up the dog waste, so if you’re walking through the park, guaranteed you’re tracking that home. Not well lit at night, questionable activity."
  • Tenleytown Lover
"Tenleytown Festivals for the arts. Art All Night and WinterFest. We never miss them. A great way to become a part of this neighborhood. A welcome place for all! "
  • Tenleytown Lover
"We like this neighborhood for our kids because it’s east to navigate. DC is such a manageable city and I like that our kids can learn how to use the metro and use that skill in other cities. It’s really walkable and my kids don’t get behind the wheel and contribute to ozone. We save on insurance too. "
  • Tenleytown Lover
"Easy Easy Easy! Metro is super close and it’s on the red line. Also, close to Metro on CT Ave. When we have out of town visitors, they can get to every DC tourist stop with ease. "
  • Trulia User
"I love this area. It’s super safe and beautiful. People are nice and everyone wears masks. DC is a great international community. "
  • Chiara T.
"12 minute walk to metro (or 5 minutes on the bus, if I catch it on time) and then a 15 minute metro ride to Farragut north. 35 minutes door to door, very easy"
  • Chiara T.
"My understanding is that the schools in this area are quite good. There certainly are a lot of families with young children here. Lots of parks and green space to take your kids and dogs!!"
