"Great place for young adults and families with children. Very suburban vibe even though downtown la is close by. Easy accessibility to freeways."
  • Dan S.
"Great community for a family. Parks schools and markets close by. Downtown LA and Old Town Pasadena both a short and safe Uber ride away!"
  • Natasha D.
"I live close to work and do most of my errands in the neighborhood . The streets are very narrow so it can be hard to drive around the neighborhood at busy times "
  • Tamarafisher2
"Ernest debbs park provides excellent hiking for dogs and people alike. Proximity to downtown LA and access to all the restaurants and shops in Highland park make the location interesting and convenient. "

"We’ve been living in this neighborhood for about 16 years. Neighbors have come and gone but all have been friendly. I love it here, even though we’ve seen our fair share of violence, such as shootings, home raids, and murder. "

"There’s a “park” that will soon be open to the public. It’s a great place for our dog to run around. "

"the hiking trails are amazing, the views of the sunsets and sunrises are unlike any other in LA! There's a very highly rated catholic school in Rose Hills and a very low population density. Elephant hill, Ascot hills, and Debs park all with in walking distance with 100s of acres of undeveloped land near downtown and all freeways. Just south of Highland Park, South Pasadena, Alhambra, historic Hermon and Garvanza. "

"This valley holds only a hundred homes. It's charm comes from low turnover. Folks move in and don't want to leave. The astonishing Ernest Debs Park, with 300 acres of trails, with a peanut lake at the top. Close to downtown, 1 mile from S. Pasadena, and the new hippsterville of Eagle Rock. Fabulous restaurants, bars and clubs on York and the growing art scene. Wonderful!"

"Rural living in the middle of Los Angeles. Beautiful vistas, canyons. Wild life abounds. "
  • Bcarter
"One cannot find a better neighborhood closest to downtown that's this affordable. Reverse commute if you work in San Gabriel valley. Alhambra, with better grocery stores, etc is a stone's throw away."
