3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended Lathrop Elementary from Kindergarten and just graduated from 8th grade this past year. I believe that he received the ethics and stability in his student career today from the staff and faculty at Lathrop School. I absolutely adore the principal and office staff who genuinely care about the kids there. My son had some amazing teachers who have left an imprint on his life forever and helped me in guiding him in the right direction, Mrs. Hopper, Ms. Swanson, Mr. Dalisay - We will remember you always!Parent Review8y ago7 Reviews - Mossdale Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend Mossdale Elementary School to any parent who actually cares about their child’s well-being. From what I’ve seen, too many of the adults here act like the students are an afterthought instead of the priority. There’s a serious lack of care, communication, and accountability, and it shows in how students are treated on a daily basis. The food situation is honestly unacceptable. The meals served are low quality, unappetizing, and clearly not something most kids want to eat. For a school, where nutrition plays such an important role in a child’s day, this should be taken much more seriously—but it doesn’t seem like anyone in charge is paying attention. What’s even more disturbing is the social environment. There are ongoing issues with exclusion, favoritism, and unfair treatment, and it feels like certain students—especially Black students—are treated differently. Instead of stepping in and addressing these problems, the staff seems to ignore them or downplay what’s happening. That kind of environment can have a lasting negative impact on kids.Overall, this school has a lot of work to do. Students deserve to feel supported, respected, and safe, and right now that doesn’t seem to be the case here. Until there are real changes in staff accountability, student support, and overall culture, I would strongly advise parents to think twice before enrolling their children here. Poor school.Student Review2mo ago15 Reviews - Free2bee School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve been a student here for a while now, and I can honestly say I love going to school. One of the best things about STEAM Academy is that most of the students actually care about their classes. It’s not a place where people just mess around; everyone takes their academics seriously because we want to do well. The teachers are also amazing. Instead of just lecturing from a book, they make everything really engaging and hands-on. They’re easy to talk to and you can tell they actually want us to understand the material, not just pass a test. Whether we're working on science projects or character-building activities, there’s always something interesting happening. I feel like I'm really being prepared for high school and college here.GO Panthers!February 25, 2026Thursday 12:01 PMStudent Review4mo ago11 Reviews - River Islands Technology Academy
