Bulling, hitting, punching, kicking, slapping etc happen daily here. Office staff pick and choose when they are nice. I have heard them yelling and speaking in awful tones with kids more than I have heard them nice. This year there is a new administrator and their first year having added one TK class. The TK class has had a rough start, no hired stable helper as is mandatory, making it more difficult to manage all of the out of control kids. Not sure what practices are a part of the daily curriculum to help combat this, especially since TK is only about social learning, I hope these teachings are happening all day long daily but I am not confident its true. There is no age appropriate playground for the TK kids, instead one with high monkey bars they can not even reach or use themselves. There is no outdoor bathroom for them, instructed to use the one shared boys and girls in the class, or to go to the office. They are 4-5 year olds, not always capable of holding it for such long distances. Hoping for positive changes.

This school does not provide a supportive and inclusive environment. Neurodivergent children do not appear to receive adequate understanding or accommodations, and differences are often treated as problems rather than strengths.Additionally, there seems to be a lack of cultural awareness and inclusion. Representation is limited, and concerns related to bias or equity do not appear to be meaningfully addressed.Schools play a critical role in shaping children’s confidence and sense of belonging and unfortunately my children suffered at this site.

I hate it here I wish I never signed up. The bullying is insane and when the teachers are told they don’t care but the office is even worse they say they will handle it and they never do! My teacher didn’t have some to be a qualified teacher and the teachers are out of hand! They get mad at us for being quiet but get mad when me talk the tiniest bit! The staff are very unhelpful full and the principals are hateful people! I don’t ever wanna come back here when I leave.

By far the worst school, they don’t care if students are being bullied and will sit back and watch. Students are telling teachers to harm themselves and not getting any support. They will often have the kids out in 100°F weather doing PE. Some teachers are nice others are not and will openly bully the students. This school needs a total reform and completely new staff.

I would not recommend Mossdale Elementary School to any parent who actually cares about their child’s well-being. From what I’ve seen, too many of the adults here act like the students are an afterthought instead of the priority. There’s a serious lack of care, communication, and accountability, and it shows in how students are treated on a daily basis.The food situation is honestly unacceptable. The meals served are low quality, unappetizing, and clearly not something most kids want to eat. For a school, where nutrition plays such an important role in a child’s day, this should be taken much more seriously—but it doesn’t seem like anyone in charge is paying attention.What’s even more disturbing is the social environment. There are ongoing issues with exclusion, favoritism, and unfair treatment, and it feels like certain students—especially Black students—are treated differently. Instead of stepping in and addressing these problems, the staff seems to ignore them or downplay what’s happening. That kind of environment can have a lasting negative impact on kids.Overall, this school has a lot of work to do. Students deserve to feel supported, respected, and safe, and right now that doesn’t seem to be the case here. Until there are real changes in staff accountability, student support, and overall culture, I would strongly advise parents to think twice before enrolling their children here. Poor school.
