I am very regretful for choosing this school. The curriculum is good for a Stockton school but not as good as the school my husband and I attended. The teachers are nice enough but the admin. leaves much to be desired. I had to fight 6 months for my disabled child to get services that she should have gotten automatically. I felt retaliated against for speaking up for my child as if I was asking for special treatment. If I was not a SAHM with the time to navigate the legal system, it might have taken twice or three times as long to get services. Additionally, The admin. has tried to discourage development of a PTA, even though said PTA has raised over $6000 so far. The school refuses to give them a wish list and doesn't want to accept the money. This is despite the fact that the school doesn't have a playground or recess time. I was reluctant to send my kids here because of this but the school said they were working on getting recess equipment. This is the best option available but it still doesn't live up my expectations. I am thinking of taking a job with Lincoln District so that my kids can go to school there. I guess I was looking for the quality education that I received.

Minus the vice principal that left in Dec 2021 the administration is horrible. They will do whatever they can to make you feel little. Worse place to work which is why they have people leaving.

My child’s current teacher is never in class and they always have a “substitute” to fill in. The teacher always has other important matters and doesn’t prioritize her students for this 5th grade year. I do not feel like the school cares much about this issue and has sent parents an email explaining why the teacher is never there due to family and personal issues. Overall, I do not feel like this school does not care if these children are receiving the best education and are more concerned about them just being there so they can receive the funds for their new school being build for the fall 2023. My child has told me for the past school year that majority of the time while they are in class, multiple students are disruptive which causes the teacher to not move forward with the lesson at that moment. These children should be able to be referred to a behavior list or their so called counselor. It is not fair to all the other student who actually want to learn and follow the rules. I don’t think the school not principal have a back home and are scared for any lash from the parents of these problem-magic students.
