this school is just horrible. the girls in the girls bathroom destroyed the basil OMORI picture i put on the wall with soap. also my mental health degrades because of this school

We had a great extra Caroline. Maybe kids attended from K-5th. Small class sizes (my sons K class had only 12 kids!) mean lots of teacher-student interaction. Teachers engage the kids with interesting projects and they use the outdoor nature campus for many learning opportunities. The principal was great too. All around a fantastic school!

In comparison to other elementary schools of the ICSD, BJM is a truer reflection of inclusion and cultural diversity. If you want your child to learn how to appreciate difference in gender, race, socioeconomic status, ability, and be exposed to a myriad of ways of thought, I would encourage you to consider this school.

Its fun at school to learn subjects that haven't been interesting in the past, all the teachers and staff are very supportive and make you feel very safe.

Enfield is an awesome school. The class sizes are small, teachers are enthusiastic and supported by their administrators and there is a real sense of community. There is a curriculum centered around gardens and farming. There’s a creek and sledding hills and kids spend a lot of time outside year round.

Terrible culture at this school. Not only do the administrators not care about the students, but the student activities director prevents activities. There is 1-2 dances a year depending on grade, and almost no other events. The counselors provide very limited support to most students and it is very hard to reach them. This school promotes a school-first, everything else-second approach to learning, which leaves many students in a terrible mental state. The teachers for the most part are good. A lot of them care about what they are teaching and care about the students, but it doesn't reflect on the curriculum. The workload is ridiculous. Many students go home every day with 3-4 hours of homework. This school is fine to attend if you can handle the constant stress they put on you, with many teachers even assigning work over break, preventing you from getting any real break until summer. Forget the scores, the acceptance rates, and the "great academic programs." This school will leave a bad mark on any child.

It has been a constant nonstop struggle advocating for my child’s educational needs at Northeast Elementary School. You must pay 100% attention to your child because they do not provide Special Education services clearly outlined in the IEP and when we called attention to our concern they were dismissive diverting blame and inattentive and not responsive to our daughter’s needs. We were provided with documentation that was not presenting our child’s capabilities and providers were not even meeting with her! It was not until we “held their feet to the fire” by letting the community become aware of services not being rendered that the principal and providers started to take action to educate her according to her IEP. The evaluations are a scam. Do not trust the providers and get outside evaluations done as much as possible. Furthermore we had to get a Family Advocate (with a history in legal) through Village At Ithaca to represent our family. The school did not help us find an advocate despite us asking about this kind of help. The CSE chair, the principal, and the staff appear to work together to conceal what is going on. Truly concerning because these children are unable to articulate what is happening, and staff are actively a part of the problem. Huge disappointment!

South Hill has provided a great educational and social experience for my kid in the two years we've been there. Classes are small, teachers are committed, there is a great number of aides supporting teachers, and there is good social-emotional support. We have experience some minor level of bullying that has been addressed strongly and assertively by leadership, including direct involvement of the Principal who is very approachable and involved in all school matters. Infrastructure is great, there are plenty opportunities for parent involvement as well, and the school is generally well run.

The teacher should stop telling the students that they don’t need to go to college. The students should make that decision at the right time in high school. The teacher should focus more on the learning.
