The teacher should stop telling the students that they don’t need to go to college. The students should make that decision at the right time in high school. The teacher should focus more on the learning.
Posted by a parent on 9/11/2025I went 60 years ago, so I'm responding to the other person from that era. It was a harder school when we went there, but it's still a good school. It was the best of the 3 schools for me--Dewitt was a pit when I went there. Ithaca High School was also a better school then.

Cayuga Heights districts its students from several places in Ithaca, not just the surrounding community which is primarily white and

Classes are small, teachers are committed, there is a great number of aides supporting teachers, and there is good social-emotional support. We have experience some minor level of bullying that has been addressed strongly and assertively by leadership, including direct involvement of the Principal who is very approachable and involved in all school matters.
