This is one of the worst school experiences any of our 7 children have had from the multiple school districts in various states we've live in. On the surface the school looks nice and the staff seems polite. Stepping slightly outside of the school's expectation; you may be greeted at the locked doors with a "What do you what?" response and please do not question why parents are forbidden from attending "family movie night" or "family book fair". If your child likes their parent to attend award ceremonies or be active in their education this is not the school for them. The regularly are late unlocking the gates that surround the facilities in the morning; staff will even close the gate behind them after the "opening time". This school took a 6 year old who couldn't wait for summer to end and go back to school into a child who cries and begs not to go to school in less than 6 months. We attempted to speak with the administrative staff but they see no issues with their procedures. If school selection forces our student into this facility again we will be forced to remove our students from the Lee County Schools system.

My daughter loves Bayshore!! The school is really family and community oriented!! The teachers are innovative in keeping the students engaged and excited to learn and families show up and support ALL of the schools events! Bayshore is infamous for the annual Hoe down, donuts with dad, and muffins with mom!!

This school sucks and don’t care about the kids my daughter asked for a pad and they didn’t give it to her

Sunshine is an inviting school and the teachers care a lot about their students academic and emotional goals.

Pretty trash the school has dumb rules against hats jackets and going in the wrong way in the hall and the staff and teachers aren’t the best and the lessons make little sense

The principal plays favorites with his employees. For instance, one, long time, hard working employee can be entirely overlooked and placed in new position to be replaced by a less educated and older choice from the principal. When the principal and/or school board members fail their best and brightest younger teachers, it's the students who will untimely fail.

This school has gone severely down hill over the last couple of years. I have tried and failed at getting my daughter transferred. I could list several reasons, but this, THIS is it! My daughter is having a hard time completing her IReady assignments. She’s not as fast at learning as the school would like her to be. She failed to pass her IReady assignment the week prior so they issued her a lunch detention. While she was in detention they had the students redo the assignments they couldn’t pass. They told her and the other students that “They need to try harder to pass their test because they used to be a B school but now they are not!” Are you kidding me? I’m livid!!!!!! Why would you put that pressure on a 10 year old?!?! Why not call it study hall? Why PUNISH them? Why not encourage? Why not explain they’re getting extra time or a second chance to catch up? This school just wants to put FEAR in our children so they can rank higher!!! Absolutely disgusting!

I love this school for my child. The teachers and administrators are really great. The teachers care for the students and push for them to do well. There's diversity among staff and same with the students. I recommend this school as they will offer your child a great learning experience.

no. just don't if you want your kid to succeed dont send them here its a annoying school people and teachers don't listen and are rude please dont.
