  • Yofrendonna
"Can be noisy. Fireworks set off several times a week. Foul language can be heard often. Not a good neighborhood for small children. Cars are often racing up and down streets and throughout parkways"

"Newport Creek South is located in northeast Monroe County. It is less than 5 miles from Wayne County and as a result, the property taxes are approximately 50% of those to the north. It is a community of 80 single family homes set up with condominium style governance. The community has city water and sewer, underground utilities. The community has sidewalks and is extremely walkable. It is conveniently located 2 mi. from I-75 for easy commutes to both Toledo and Detroit. It is also very convenient to state parks, golf courses, and Lake Erie docks. The area is fairly remote and is extremely desireable for those who enjoy a laid-back, rural lifestyle. Local restaurant, entertainment, and shopping choices are limited. This is not a problem, as Monroe, Toledo, Woodhaven, Flat Rock and Detroit are easy commutes. The community has a healthy mixture of familis with children, couples, singles, and retirees. Newport Creek South has all of the benefits of suburban living without the high crime and high taxes of other local communities. The community has a healthy mixture of familis with children, couples, singles, and retirees."

"People are not friendly. 15 mph speed limit not adhered to. Never see police patrol. Loud cars and motor cycles racing up and down street. Residents are loud, foul-mouthed, drinkers. Loud music can be heard until 1 a.m. often.Too often there are extremely loud fireworks late at night all year round. Not a good place for small children. Local playground is often overgrown. My home was broken into. Police need to patrol this area. I moved because I have young, impressionable children"
