  • Juliana Berec

  • Eric R.
"Belleville / Van Buren Twp is a great community to raise your family. It has a small city/partly rural area feel to it that’s refreshing. I would never have thought that could work but it does out here from what I’ve seen. I’ve lived out here for 2 years."
  • Echarles1947
"Oh I live on the lake And it is so beautiful and it gives you a real peace of mind listening to the boats watching the people fish and watching the fireworks on different holidays"
  • Klspears
"Dog owners would like parks, walking trails and sidewalks available in my neighborhood. They would also like the pet friendly community feel that you get. I have an indoor pet, but I see many of my neighbors walking their pets regularly."
  • Klspears
"My neighborhood has good access to nearby freeways. My commute is decent to my job and back home. We aren’t far from shopping as well."
  • Stagstud
"Easy - 30 mins to Detroit or Southfield - 20 mins to Ann Arbor. I’ve lived here all my life by choice. "
  • Courtney M.
"The Van Buren Community has a limited amount of side walks and walking paths. There are dog parks around but not many of those either. "
  • Cummiaur
"They would probably like to have a sidewalk so they don’t have to walk in the streets and be subject to getting hit by a car"
  • Courtney M.

  • Errah Y.
"The area is ok there is a lot of break ins as far as car theft . Lighting is an issue, people don’t pick up after their animals. Cars speed through residential street."
  • Mr. Smith
"I’ve lived here for almost 3 years. Other then a couple of neighbors playing loud music, leaving their beer cans on their lawn and not mowing said lawn, it’s a decent neighborhood. "
  • Jesshpredi
"Friendly neighbors and fresh country air are plentiful here. Every season, there is a community event. From harvest festivals, to farmers markets, to holiday parades; this community really puts in the effort to be inclusive. "
  • Jesshpredi
"Everyone has a different dog parenting style. Some people tether their dogs outside all day while others let them roam around the lawn. Most of the dogs here are really friendly and will just walk up to you."
  • Radray78
"The park representatives do host holiday events at the clubhouse for the children. Other then planned events, nothing else special. "
  • Joe T
"No fences. Open yards. Houses very close together, so noise is a problem. Barking could be a issue. There are two small play areas for kids so a dog could run around. "
  • Shannon K.
"there is no transportation and Van Buren or Belleville it's hard for people to get around especially when you live in a low-income place you would think they would be transportation for people like me "

"I’ve lived in Belleville and it is a very quiet community. Most people stay to themselves. The city is nice and there are a lot of popular businesses in the area like Starbucks, Meijer, Walmart, Planet Fitness, etc. I would recommend this area to young people trying to get out of a major city. Two thumbs up. "
