"The caring neighbors and not any special events that make it special. Love the feel of a small neighborhood while being close to everything. "

"There are a lot of folks walking their dogs at all times of the day, but there are quite a few drivers that seem to disregard pedestrians. They speed through even ignoring speed bumps. "

"The local park sometimes has movies on projector. The parks are generally clean and usually open to major events like birthday parties, etc. "

"Fletcher Hills is a special area nestled in between La Mesa, San Diego and El Cajon. Homes are custom built on large lots and the neighborhood is safe. "

"My local recreational park holds let’s of community events. I have never been but we get invited regularly. They look very family friendly and there are plenty of brochures. Movies and garage sales for the most part... the local mall helps integrate us a lot. They hold all sorts of seasonal pop up tents but that’s about it. Car shows for enthusiasts and Main Street hold some extra events as well. "

"This area is a sleeper. Views over El Cajon... Seclusion...Yet close to shopping and public transportation...A low crime neighborhood.. Most neighbors are accomplished and/or well educated people...Stable for the last 60 years that I have been involved in the area. "

"Agreed... this is NOT El Cajon. This section of Fletcher Hills was San Diego until reapportionment. San Carlos is on the other side of 125 and La Mesa is right down the street. GREAT older neighborhood that is in the process of upgrading homes. Large lots, many with gorgeous views, quiet. DO not overlook this area"

"Fletcher Hills is nothing like El Cajon. We hear birds more than we hear cars or people. "

    Fletcher Hills, El Cajon
"Very quiet and calm neighborhood. Older houses but still OK. Very different atmosphere from the valley of El Cajon which is on the other side of Hwy 8. Has a very secluded park that I only found a year after we moved in (Harry Griffin park). Very easy to get anywhere in SD as Hwy 8, 125 and 94 intersect next to it. I would recommend it to anyone"
