  • Marios H.

  • nooyawkwoman
"I grew up in this neighborhood, and still live here. Public transportation is not perfect, but is bus service to the 7-train in Flushing and the Long Island Railroad, and express buses into the city. We're close to major highways, and there are parks and open spaces within walking distance. The schools, public and private, are very highly rated. The one downside is that there is no major grocery store within easy walking distance, though there are enough delis, pizza and Chinese takeouts, drugstores and the like to cover most shopping needs until you can get to the shopping centers. "

  • Terry K.
"Great area to raise a family. Walk to shopping, schools and LIRR just blocks away"
