Stay away teachers think it's ok to touch your child my child comes home and a teacher aggressively Yanked a stick off of my child's hand and says to act your age and a few times my best friend's child has came home with bruising all over not knowing who did it bc her child is autistic non verbal mine is autistic verbal they have not been able to meet my child's needs and are refusing a referral

They don’t care or listen and are just plain lazy

Pros:The scholars are the heart of this school. Building bonds with the students is the most rewarding part of the job. There was also initial flexibility in curriculum design which allowed for creative teaching.Cons:Management Culture: Leadership prioritizes public image over internal transparency. There is significant pressure from the top to maintain a specific "brand," which can feel restrictive for staff who value professional honesty.Lack of Job Security: Terminations appear to be handled with a focus on administrative convenience rather than professional courtesy. In my experience, the timing of transitions seemed calculated to minimize the school's financial obligations to departing staff.Disproportionate Discipline: There is a lack of due process when issues arise. Staff may find themselves held accountable for student behaviors without a clear path for support or a fair hearing of their perspective.Compensation Gaps: There is a notable disparity between executive compensation and the living wages of the frontline staff. Additionally, the school is very aggressive in contesting post-employment benefits.Work-Life Balance: The "culture" feels forced and often demands significant unpaid "charity" hours. Professional development frequently feels disconnected from the actual needs of the classroom.Advice to Management:Focus on staff retention and dignity. You cannot maintain a stable learning environment when the educators feel disposable. Professionalism should start at the top with transparency and fair pay.
