When I first started looking at reviews for this school, both my wife and I were skeptical. We had some bad experiences with other schools in the past, but we decided to give North Side a chance. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we have ever made for our son.Everyone at this school has been nothing but supportive, caring, and informative. They brought back the feeling of what schools used to be like—where teachers truly cared about their students and their success.North Side has earned my heart, my trust, and my respect beyond what I can express. One thing that stands out the most is how the teachers keep me informed without me even having to ask. As a parent who works hard to provide for my family, that level of communication means everything.The teachers genuinely take the time to understand my son’s strengths and weaknesses so they can help him grow and improve. Their dedication to helping each child succeed is something you don’t find everywhere.Ms. Allette and Ms. Owens were my son’s main teachers, and I couldn’t be more grateful that he had them. They treated my son as if he were their own, showing him kindness, patience, and encouragement every step of the way.Since the school got its new principal and the staff, I have seen nothing but positive changes. They even recommended enrolling my son in the 5000 Role Models program, and that turned out to be another excellent decision for our family.The field trips are also incredible. It seemed like there was always something educational and exciting happening, sometimes every other week. Those experiences kept the students engaged, motivated, and excited about coming to school.If you’re looking for a school where your child will be genuinely cared for, supported, and encouraged to succeed, I wholeheartedly recommend North Side. My family has had an amazing experience, and I truly believe you won’t regret giving this school a chance.

When I initially put my son In this school I did it because it was hyped about being the only A school in the area and in my sons district. I want to start by saying the principal Nikia started off as what seemed to be a very involved, understanding, and willing person to ensure that your child succeeds. That changed when I realized her reputation or her friendships with the teachers were more important to her. She allows the guidance counselor to do absolutely nothing. Complete bare minimum don't even expect a call or email back from him. She allows her teachers to be and act very aggressive to the parents even when not being met with aggression, she will walk out of any meeting when it gets tough with any excuse which sure shows her intent and urgency to help the situation. My son had a teacher throw his math test on the ground because he failed it and when addressed she admitted to it and confirmed that she actually did it to all of the students that failed that day. I see now that this school is a 3/10 and I absolutely know why. They do any and everything to keep that funding going including not assisting kids that really needed it instead pushing them out so that it wouldn't affect their numbers or funding. But now look. God sits high and looks so low. even as low as this school and its employees. This school will mentally and emotionally damage your children. PLEASE BEWARE!! you will have a lot of pieces to pick up. Very sad

My experience at this school was excellent. The teachers are kind, supportive, and really care about helping students succeed. The lessons are engaging and helped me learn a lot. The school has a positive and welcoming environment where students feel safe and included. Families are involved, and the staff works hard to make sure everyone feels supported. Overall, it’s a great school and I would definitely recommend it
