Upper Eastside

My son started at Morningside in Kindergarten. He is now finishing his 5th grade year here. My daughter is finishing 1st grade after starting in their Role Model program at age 3. Overall, we have had a great experience here. My kids have loved all of their teachers, they have enjoyed many fun activities put on by the PTSA and the teachers and they've been able to take advantage of some really wonderful after school activities. There is a surprising amount of affordable and fun after school activities here for it being a public school. We have made some very close friends through the years at Morningside. There is a strong community of parents who really care about making the elementary and middle school experience here a good one for the kids who attend. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.

I used to go to this school quite some time ago. Currently in high school (yay) but this school has an issue. The teachers aren’t bad they’re decent and some try really hard to make it interesting which is a good thing. The issue is well the bullying. The counselor does nothing against bullying or anyone bothering anyone. The most she does is give messages and hope that someone applies it. I was bullied and I’ve told multiple people and no one has done anything to stop. I had to stop it myself which to be honest was good for character development but come on. You’re the adult try to step in. The food can be horrific but the classes are nice. The adults have d favorites and barely punish them and punish kids they don’t like more severely for little reasons. As I said before, it has been a while since I’ve been so I’m not sure they could’ve changed. In summary, the lunch is horrible (some days) the counselor is horrible at her job, teachers are decent but have favorites.

Both my boys received an excellent education in a wonderful environment.
