My son started at Morningside in Kindergarten. He is now finishing his 5th grade year here. My daughter is finishing 1st grade after starting in their Role Model program at age 3. Overall, we have had a great experience here. My kids have loved all of their teachers, they have enjoyed many fun activities put on by the PTSA and the teachers and they've been able to take advantage of some really wonderful after school activities. There is a surprising amount of affordable and fun after school activities here for it being a public school. We have made some very close friends through the years at Morningside. There is a strong community of parents who really care about making the elementary and middle school experience here a good one for the kids who attend. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.

Our son attended Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary School from Kindergarten through 5th grade (2017-2024), and it has truly been an exceptional experience. Our son's teachers were not only passionate about their work but also incredibly accessible, making it easy for us to stay engaged in his education.The sense of community at PRMES is outstanding — parents and students alike are warm, welcoming, and truly make you feel like part of the family. This is the kind of school where everyone, from the staff to the students, knows each other's names, creating a tight-knit and supportive atmosphere. The security staff, in particular, goes above and beyond, treating the children as if they were their own. I’ll never forget watching the security guards assist each 5th-grade graduate up onto the stage during the graduation ceremony, sending them off to middle school with the utmost care and pride.Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary is a hidden gem on Miami's Upper East Side, and if you’re searching for a safe, nurturing, and community-driven school, look no further.
