Phyllis R. Miller Elementary School

So happy and lucky to have a wonderful public school like MSES in our neighborhood. You can feel the loving energy from everyone there. The teachers are so nice, supportive & caring. The staff is very welcoming and responsive. We love the new principal who is on top of everything. We also love how interactive and fun this school is; every other week there’s something fun going on - either a party, dress down day, ice cream truck, etc… Overall we’ve had a very positive experience.

My son started at Morningside in Kindergarten. He is now finishing his 5th grade year here. My daughter is finishing 1st grade after starting in their Role Model program at age 3. Overall, we have had a great experience here. My kids have loved all of their teachers, they have enjoyed many fun activities put on by the PTSA and the teachers and they've been able to take advantage of some really wonderful after school activities. There is a surprising amount of affordable and fun after school activities here for it being a public school. We have made some very close friends through the years at Morningside. There is a strong community of parents who really care about making the elementary and middle school experience here a good one for the kids who attend. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.

Some of the institutions’ teaching staff are not properly educated or equipped to meet the needs of children that are not on the spectrum but simply need professional guidance that most exproenced teachers would be able to give. They are incapable, lazy and depend on a one size fits all mold when dealing with all of the students. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re truly looking for quality all around education at this price.

Probably the best, kindest, most welcoming teachers in any school I’ve ever seen, but the students are awful and it creates a highly pressuring environment and uncomfortable environment for kids.

I have recently have a bad experience with this school because the teachers. They don't know how to deal with children challenges and milestones. I think they are not very professional and teachers not very educated. I don't recommend this school.

Wonderful school in Miami shores !This is our second year and we are pleased with the school and what it offers.Our daughter loves it.Great academic experience and core classes taught in a small group environment.The teachers seem to be very happy and genuinely care about the kids.The parent/home and school association has many activities throughout the year to keep kids excited and parents involved. We truly like the small community feel this church/school offers.

Both my boys received an excellent education in a wonderful environment.
