Morningside K-8 Academy

The staff seems motivated and intelligent in their craft. The chief concern would be the leadership at the school. The principal truly has no interpersonal skills, and does not know how to to effectively communicate with staff, teachers, or parents. I hope Miami dade looks into her placement.

My son has been going there for 3 years and I have been dealing with bullying from day one my son has had a laceration, a black eye and was hit in the ear so hard his ear drum was ringing and I had to take him to the hospital I had to call the school board region to have something be done the teachers and staff didn't care as long I didn't report it there are to many kids getting bullied and are killing there self I'm very disappointed in the school Are we gonna wait until a actual crime is committed

Terrible fourth grade Math teacher lack of passion for students learning, homework is done at home therefore homework scores and assignments must return home for parents or guardian to assess , motivate and encourage . That way home can verify graded results. Even if the assignment is done right teacher marks it wrong. My child was marked F from the beginning of school quarter child is Still F. Child left 3rd grade with C. Teacher shows no concern for the outcome of the student only there for their income . Sad!!

Our son attended Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary School from Kindergarten through 5th grade (2017-2024), and it has truly been an exceptional experience. I’ll never forget watching the security guards assist each 5th-grade graduate up onto the stage during the graduation ceremony, sending them off to middle school with the utmost care and pride.Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary is a hidden gem on Miami's Upper East Side, and if you’re searching for a safe, nurturing, and community-driven school, look no further. Both my boys received an excellent education in a wonderful environment.

I really love this school. My children have been attending it for 5 years and I cant complain. The staff are extremely nice and the teachers really care about the student's academic success. My children are a testament to that since they only get A's and B's on their report cards.Above all, they teach students how to have a relationship with Christ and to make Him first in their life. God bless this amazing school!
