Lo que dicen los locales sobre Alton

Review Highlights

En inglés
Alton blends riverfront charm, historic streets, easy commutes, and plenty to do. People like friendly vibes, parks and river trails, events, and quick drives to St. Louis. They dislike rising crime worries, mixed school ratings, and occasional train or traffic snags.

"I've lived here for 22 years, neighbors are great. However, crime is up and riffraff about so safety concerns now that never worried about before."
  • Someonewhoknows2
"This is a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of diversity. It has character and old fashion appeal. Large homes, duplex and apartments with its originality. The community has survived the worst although the love and spirit of the city is here. Perfectly located in the middle of everything, the smell of Fast Eddies Chicken or fried rice from the Hong Kong house decorates the air. I love it here, it’s safe with the beautiful mixture of people from all walks of life. Like with any city this area has its flaws, yet the flaws is what makes the beauty of it all!"

  • Laurincbuettner
"We are a tourist attraction because we are supposed to be one of the most haunted cities in America. "
