As an employee at a different school district, we could easily choice our students elsewhere but we will continue to choose to send our kids to Russel, our neighborhood school. The school feels like a small community, my student knows teachers and staff at all different grade levels. The smaller size of this schools allows for time and space for the adults to make great connections with the kids. If we do have any questions or concerns, the staff members we reach out to have always been very responsive and caring. Both of my sons attended Doherty High and I am grateful for their excellent teachers and staff. One of my sons attended an Ivey League school for undergrad and is now in his third year of medical school. My other son graduates Law School from Tulane University in two months. Most of their peers are enjoying similar success. Not too shabby I must say. It is a great school if you want it to be. Thank you Doherty teachers.
