my kids really enjoy school and their teachers at RMCS. They are excited about learning, going to school, and trying new things. We're thankful for the teachers at RMCS.
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2020This is a great school. My wife and I went to very good schools in New York and Massachussetts respectively. This school system surpasses those even! Great strides made towards lower income students while maintaining educational integrity. Very happy with this school.
Posted by a parent on 8/19/2019There is subtle racism in the school with children of color feel marginalized and infact feel invisible.There are no support teachers who could help the student if he is weak in a certain subject.Failing to do so, students continue to stay weak.Not sure if this is a funding issue but definitely is a
Posted by a community member on 6/23/2017Both our kids have gone through RMCS and have had unbelievably talented and dedicated teachers. The parent involvement in this school is inspiring and the sense of community strong. The fifth grade team does an incredible job preparing the kids for middle school and beyond! LOVE RMCS!

My son is starting Kindergarten this year and I'm so excited for him to experience all that my daughter has for the past 3 years. Sue Luck is an AMAZING principal and just a wonderful person. In my family's experience, the school does not support my child with a physical disability and does not challenge them or acknowledge their other gifted areas. If your child has a disability, know that you may need to fight the school at every step of the way. I would recommend not trusting that they are providing support and doing regular check ins with the teacher/school.No parking, let alone for a child and/or parent with a disability (one parallel "handicap" parking space without access to get a chair out, and that a staff member parks in). NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageICS is a hidden gem! It provides the best education I know of in this area. This school offers a very high level academic curriculum in a caring atmosphere. Academics are rigorous, but taught in a way that engages students so that they own their own learning, which lets them enjoy it. Students gain independence but also learn how to collaborate effectively. The faculty is second to none. The student body is very diverse. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWith multiple children, we have been at St. Francis Xavier for many years. All of them started at age 4 in the Pre K program. It is a place that our children feel at home when they are not. All have thrived in this safe and secure school environment and were well prepared for the rigors of a preparatory high school. The teachers and administration all work together for the success of each student. The community at St. Francis is strong with participation from all families. It is a very comforting place to spend any extra hours you may have volunteering. St. Francis Xavier has a strong academic curriculum that includes Catholic faith, art, foreign language, music, STEM, digital learning and RECESS for all.
