Strickland School

Eden park was a great experience for us. The school has a very community feel. Parents are involved and the staff and administrators are responsive to concerns or needs. If your child needs afterschool care, however, I do not recommend the extended care that they offer. The staff is impersonal and rarely interacts with the kids. The word my son used to describe them is ‘mean’. There are lots of options for afterschool care choose literally any of them other than this one.

Cunningham has amazing teachers and small class sizes. Both the teachers are other students at school functions always seem so positive and accepting of everyone. Both my kids had amazing experiences and Cunningham for the last 4 years.The PEAS garden/farm is an awesome opportunity for learning and life-experience. The PTA is engaged and does a lot for school activities.

The school is unsafe. They do not care about are kids and most people working there is only working for the money and not caring about our kids.

Attendance clerk yelling at teacher who held the door open for students who literally are arriving as the bell rings or like one minute after and saying "I NEED MY TARDIES" while she has a line of parent and students trying to check their kids in. Same attendance clerk belittling and cussing in front of student for "not having their address memorized" even though all this documentation was submitted during enrollment prior to school starting along with the bus info. This was afterschool when they were trying to figure out what bus to put her on. Not impressed with most of the staff. Unprofessional. Unresponsive. The enrollment process is flawed.

I don't like this school at especially because they put demon hunters to the classmates of my nephew. They confuse the kids making them believe that demons can become good. I'm sorry but that's unacceptable. I won't and will never recommend this school to anyone I know. Please don't go to this school.

This school is amazing! The teachers are very kind, supportive, and attentive of their students. I was in Casey from Pre-K 4 to 5th grade. There is also a lot of family engagement like PTA. They also encourage the kids to read by giving them rewards. The students are amazing, the teachers and office workers are amazing, and the staff is amazing. 10/10 experience. 100% recommend this school!

The teachers are dedicated and kind. The school seems stretched thin with teachers needing to fund supplies, books, and other resources.Our daughter has flourished at Cowan and developed social skills alongside her educational growth. My biggest desire for improvement is with the arts. There isn’t an intentional music program. My daughter had one play in second grade but it was written and organized by a second grade teacher as a labor of love. There are so many children in each class it does seem like the focus goes to areas of concern. We haven’t had a parent/teacher conference in a couple of years because she’s doing great. I wish I better understood her untapped potential and how she could continue to grow even if it meant outpacing classmates. (We don’t have experience with the special education programs, so our rating is neutral.)
