Read what parents are saying about Pleasant Hill Elementary SchoolTeachers are unwelcoming and aggressive towards parents. My child is stressed and comes home completely exhausted.
Posted by a parent on 6/14/2021,At the beginning of the year, my ADHD son was in a class, that did not meet his needs. The principal at this school is AMAZING!!!! She not only put him in a class where he has improved GREATLY!! But has personally helped my son. This school is Very fortunate to have such a fine person
Posted by a parent on 4/23/20142010-2011 school year. My daughter likes her teacher so I have not pulled her out of the class just because of my views of her. I have tried to volunteer for every field trip and have yet to be allowed on one, have tried to volunteer with filing or simply cutting paper, whatever needs to get done and she has been very unwelcoming. I believe that it is not just this one teacher as well as on several occasions I have been met with pretty much aggressive behavior. if parents are not allowed on campus on a certain day of the week you could just as easily tell me that before using your body to block my from entering or block me from my child! I only want to be involved with my childs education and expect to be welcomed to do so not blocked and discouraged

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDedication to excellence and developing every aspect of the whole child not just academics is clear at Odom. The office staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. You get a sense of belonging like a family; genuine care and concern for all students. The teachers have a way to include every student and diversify their teaching to accommodate all the different learning styles that make up their classes. The score of “4” is not reflective of all the great and positive things this school is doing and accomplishing. Your kid will feel welcome, comfortable and at ease to learn. Staff ensure the child’s needs are met beyond academics; honing in on their emotional and mental health as well.Parent Review3y ago - St Elmo El

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWilliams Kindergarten was excellent. Ms. Deason is a fantastic teacher. My child started the year unable to read a sentence and finished reading small chapter books. The school teaches kindness and challenges the students. During COVID, parents weren't allowed on campus and masks were required. Our child reported practicing multiple drills. We felt as safe as can be at this school. Lunches and snacks were provided, and there's an after care program available until 6 pm. The kids loved each other and played well outside class. The other parents were also lovely. We feel lucky for such a good year.Parent Review1y ago - Langford Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am thrilled to share my experience and heartfelt appreciation for Uphaus Early Childhood Center. As a parent, I couldn't be happier with the exceptional learning environment and dedicated teachers who have played an instrumental role in shaping my daughter's educational journey. The campus itself is nothing short of amazing, thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of small children. Every corner exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing a safe and stimulating space for learning and exploration. What sets UECC apart is its outstanding team of teachers. They are undoubtedly the best in their field, showcasing immense passion and expertise in early childhood education. Their commitment to each child's growth and development is truly inspiring. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between structured learning and free play, allowing the children to engage in hands-on activities while fostering their creativity and independence. It's impressive to witness how the teachers seamlessly blend both approaches, creating an environment that nurtures the whole child. Moreover, the teachers go above and beyond by ensuring that the lessons learned in school effortlessly transfer to the home environment. They provide valuable guidance and resources for parents, empowering us to reinforce the skills and knowledge acquired during school hours. They understand that education encompasses more than just academic achievement; it also involves nurturing well-rounded individuals who can thrive in various aspects of life.It is evident that the foundation being laid by the teachers at will set our children up for long-term success in their education. The dedication and care they invest in every child's development are truly commendable. By integrating life skills into the daily routines and classroom activities, the teachers ensure that our children have a solid foundation in areas such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, and decision-making. These skills are invaluable and lay the groundwork for their future success, not only academically but also in their personal and professional lives.I wholeheartedly recommend Uphaus Early Childhood Center to any parent seeking an exceptional educational experience for their child. It's a place where young minds thrive, where the joy of learning is fostered, and where lifelong memories are created.Parent Review11mo ago - City School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love City School! Our child’s reading level has improved dramatically since coming to City School. Her teachers have implemented a great plan and give her one-on-one attention to help her overcome obstacles. We also love the holistic academic approach and no screens!! At her last school, she was staring at a screen for the majority of the day. We are very thankful for the culture and environment at City School.Parent Review1mo ago - The Real Learning Academy

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery since I signed in my kids to this school I have been very pleased with their curriculum my boys have grown so much in reading, writing, math, and so many other subjects. They have some of the best teachers and principal. This school will not tolerate bullying or any other conflicts in students it is handled right away by higher staff. And parents are always notified of any concerns regarding their child. I love this school I want my boys to graduate from here aswell.Parent Review2y ago
