Cunningham has amazing teachers and small class sizes. Both the teachers are other students at school functions always seem so positive and accepting of everyone. Both my kids had amazing experiences and Cunningham for the last 4 years.The PEAS garden/farm is an awesome opportunity for learning and life-experience. The PTA is engaged and does a lot for school activities.

The 5th grade teacher Gigioloti-Barton is a professional bully! You can tell she knows how to manipulate people and get away with it!

Patton Elementary is an incredible school that has grown and evolved significantly over the years, becoming a cornerstone of West Oak Hill’s rapidly improving community. Over the last two years, I’ve witnessed a shift in teacher engagement and dedication. The faculty here go above and beyond, fostering an environment where students not only learn but thrive. The curriculum is innovative and enriching, tailored to encourage curiosity and critical thinking, which has been a huge draw for families moving into the area. The staff is warm, approachable, and committed to creating a nurturing space for children, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.What sets Patton apart even more is the changing demographic of West Oak Hill. As the area becomes more sought after, it’s bringing in amazing families who are invested in their children’s success and the school’s progress. Over the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting incredible parents who share a passion for education and community building. These connections have been one of the highlights of my time here, and it’s bittersweet now that my son has graduated.Year after year, I’ve seen noticeable progress at Patton. Post-pandemic, the school has made tremendous strides in creating a positive and effective learning environment. From the quality of programs to the upgraded facilities, everything seems to be moving in the right direction. It’s heartening to know that this school is a place where children are encouraged to reach their potential, supported by engaged teachers and like-minded families.If you’re considering West Oak Hill, Patton Elementary is a shining example of why this area is worth investing in. The combination of a growing, vibrant community and a school that consistently improves makes this neighborhood a fantastic choice for families. I don't like this school at especially because they put demon hunters to the classmates of my nephew. They confuse the kids making them believe that demons can become good. I'm sorry but that's unacceptable. I won't and will never recommend this school to anyone I know. Please don't go to this school.

The teachers are dedicated and kind. The school seems stretched thin with teachers needing to fund supplies, books, and other resources.Our daughter has flourished at Cowan and developed social skills alongside her educational growth. My biggest desire for improvement is with the arts. There isn’t an intentional music program. My daughter had one play in second grade but it was written and organized by a second grade teacher as a labor of love. There are so many children in each class it does seem like the focus goes to areas of concern. We haven’t had a parent/teacher conference in a couple of years because she’s doing great. I wish I better understood her untapped potential and how she could continue to grow even if it meant outpacing classmates. (We don’t have experience with the special education programs, so our rating is neutral.)

We fell in love at first. Some mentors recommended the school because their children had a great experience twenty years ago. I do not know when things changed, but the romance with the school was short lived. We looked forward to the parent education classes and adult community. They kept asking for more money: for groceries, for staff salaries, for fundraising this and that. Attend a parent education class? Pay a fee! School admins wanted to raise capital. No context for what the funds are used for. And then, the school fired all of the fundraisers and talked about hiring cheaper ones. It all felt strange. Why do you charge so much tuition and still need more money? And they have millions of dollars in the bank!

This was our first year sending both of our kids, and they’ve learned so much in such a short time. The teachers truly care and many even have their own children enrolled, which says a lot. We love that they’re being taught biblical principles along with a top-tier curriculum — our kindergartener is already writing cursive! The school is affordable, Christ-centered, and our kids are thriving. Highly recommend!
