Read what parents are saying about Arlington Classics Academy - Intermediate SchoolAttendance from K-5, however 5th grade my student doesn't wish to continue at this school feels the teachers are mean. This year failing grades and the student are treated as adults instead of kids. They only teach to pass testing
Posted by a parent on 11/3/2022It's been challenging and encouraging for my kids.
Posted by a parent on 7/26/2017ACA used to be a wonderful school. They are slowly molding it in to another public school. They are going away from a classical education and are more concerned about scores on the STAAR test. They used to have Saxon math, but have now gone to a more "common core" like critical thinking math. My daughter used to love school, but now she comes home stressed out and unhappy. I am probably going to home school her going forward.
Posted by a parent on 9/24/2014This is our fourth year with ACA. I can't say enough great things about the staff and the teachers. With the challenging curriculum, the discipline and time management skills my student is developing, he will be well prepared for high school and beyond.
Posted by a parent on 9/24/2014I can't believe an Above average School would go to the public school Math system with only estimates no real problems like everyday life. From experience with AISD this math does not help with Algebra in the future. The system was great now they want to degrade their system. They should have announced the change before School started. I guess the public school teaching comes from the new Principals that are from a Public school system with not so Hi standards.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNo school is perfect. Teachers today are challenged with navigating an increasingly diverse population. I am a teacher and I know it is a tough job. I have had one child finish their elementary education here and I have another child still attending Duff. Both of my children display regression with regard to STAAR scores. Normally this would not bother me at all. This school instills fear over testing based on my experience. One grade level would not provide my child with individual positive feedback. When I pressed the issue, I found no support from admin and can echo what another parent says regarding administrative support. I sent multiple emails to the principal that were simply ignored. When I copy the higher up, district personnel they finally responded with a generic email. I wanted to love this school so much but I am not able to report many positive interactions. The music teacher is wonderful! His programs are amazing. The front office ladies are great as well. Y family has not had a positive experience with anyone else. This school is run like a prison. My child dropped a pencil out of her reach, asked (whispered) her classmate to hand it to her and then was reprimanded so severely she came home in tears. Admin does not care. They blindly support their teachers. I can appreciate backing your people up but you his school is more on the “good ole boy,” system. If you’re one of the good ole boys, you get the best. If you’re not? Too bad for you. As a teacher myself, I always wondered why special education students needed “positive reinforcement,” as an accommodation. It seems to me, as someone who feels called to teach neurodivergent learners, that positive reinforcement is the norm. This school taught me not all teachers agree. If it’s not in the IEP, they don’t positively reinforce student behavior. Apparently even if it is an accommodation in a students educational plan, they still may not get all that they need despite the myriad of financial resources they have. If you have the option, look elsewhere for an inclusive environment for your child.Parent Review6mo ago - Dunn Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kiddo constantly got bullied by some first grade teachers. Consequently, when my child spoke up, my child would be reprehended. This school needs to be investigated. By far this was the worst experience for my child. Causing my child a great deal of anxiety and sadness. Due to all the mistreatment at this school. Unfortunately, principles here at this school cover up. Worst school, not sure if it was a color of my child skin, race or being a single parent, and not able to be at the school every day. As No parent should. They take advantage of the situation. This school is a thumbs down.Parent Review11mo ago - Hill Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school means so much to my heart. My son had a few problems last year and they were the kindest, most supportive team. The teachers, principal, assistant principal, counselor, even the front desk staff…every last one of them were there for my son and our family. I’m forever grateful. Educational, my kids have grown and they’ve had excellent teachers thus far. Many parents are involved in the PTA, my children feel safe, and parents are consistently informed of what is happening, educationally and socially.Parent Review7mo ago - Key Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTMA is a wonderful school with very caring educators, administrators, parents, etc... Our daughter loves going to school everyday and we love sending her to school everyday. She has only been going one semester and it's made a huge difference in her ability to take care of herself, and others. She's more helpful and determined/ focused on her tasks.Parent Review4mo ago - Fielder Road Early Childhood Center
