Read what parents are saying about Key Elementary SchoolAbsolutely horrible school so sad because it was the best school when my older kids went here.
Posted by a parent on 8/13/2019My kids have been attending Key for 5 years and we love it! Any concern I’ve had regarding my kids learning disabilities or problems with other students at school, the principal took care of it quickly. The teachers care and try to provide a comfortable yet effective learning environment.
Posted by a parent on 5/23/2019We are new to Arlington so this was a new school for my children who are in the first grade. I have twins so as usual they were in different classrooms. The teachers were not on the same page when it came down to grading. One teacher said something was okay and the other would completely disagree. That caused a lot of confusion for myself and also my children. I would have to say my daughter's teacher Mrs Wingert was so sweet and really wanted to see her students do well. Now for Martha Herman she is the complete opposite of Mrs. Wingert. I am so glad the school year is over and I can move my kids to a better school where education is important and the teachers actually want the youth to succeed.
Posted by a parent on 6/2/2017Key is a place where you can feel safe when you send your kids to school. The teachers really care. I have had one student for 1 year, another for 2 years, and a third child is finishing his 7th year. They all really like Key. One comment stated the school has no 6th grade and low scores. Actually, that is not this Key Elementary. This school is technically in the city of Dalworthington Gardens and under the Arlington Independent School District in Texas. Key has had either an Exemplary or Recognized rating in all the years my children have attended when the state used those designations. There are academic extracurricular activities such as Math / Science team, fine arts activities such as Tongspiel and choir, in addition to athletic activities such as Runner's Club. The school may not be very large, but that helps give it a family atmosphere.Another poster mentioned the lack of staff in the mornings and afternoons. Actually, there is one teacher assisting students with getting out of cars and safely on the sidewalk before school and after school there are at least 5 teachers doing the same to make sure kids are not getting in and out of cars in the traffic.
Posted by a parent on 2/20/2016Love the focus on the kids and their unique abilities. Great parent involvement in this school.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been attending children's university for a while ...it has been nothing but problems since the day we started..they can't keep Teachers.the management is the worse I have ever dealt with they are beyond Miserable they are not friendly they do not make you feel Comfortable yes the school is beautiful but if you only knew what was inside.. My daughter would cry when certain teachers were in the room there's been multiple incidents where my daughter was hit in the face with toys and all I got was oh I'm sorry.. I wasn't notified 3 or 4 different times that she was bit scratched hit by another child.... I didn't find out till I seen the marks on my little girl's body... But we dealt with it because it was a nice school and she's been going there for a while but at this point parents need to be aware of how management takes care of things all they care is about their money and their rules if you do not go by their rules they will kick you out without hesitation... It's about time us community members stand together and will not tolerate businesses neglecting our children... I know for a fact other parents feel the same but we as parents know that our children need consistency... So we deal with it I will not deal with it anymore this school needs to be held accountable for not taking care of our children the proper wayParent Review4mo ago - The Montessori Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTMA is a wonderful school with very caring educators, administrators, parents, etc... Our daughter loves going to school everyday and we love sending her to school everyday. She has only been going one semester and it's made a huge difference in her ability to take care of herself, and others. She's more helpful and determined/ focused on her tasks.Parent Review4mo ago - Spurling Christian Academy
