Lambs & Ivy School

I am a current 8th grader at BCS, and I simply cannot agree with people who continue to degrade this wonderful school. It has its faults, like any school, but I can say with confidence that the faculty strive to make it better. Briarcrest is a fantastic multiethnic school, and in my whole time here, I have never seen any teacher or administrator ever punish someone for anything but behavior. The school's fine arts programs have grown immensely over the past few years, and offers an extensive and accepting community for musically and visually talented students. There are many opportunities for athletes as well. The school was founded on the core values of Christianity, and continues to embody those principals. At the middle school age, students learn the important truths of Christ. As for the students individual beliefs, I cannot say. That is a conversation with them and God. BCS very clearly lays out the ideals of Jesus, and it is the student's job to listen. If they choose to misbehave and mistreat other students, those are their erroneous choices, but the school does not intentionally turn a blind eye. Punishment is swift and fair, and mercy is frequently given in a Christlike manner. Some of the teachers that I have met at BCS have become some of my greatest role models. Anyone considering this school should give serious thought, as an intellectual young person needs a firm education and good biblical teaching. I can only hope that the Holy Spirit decides to work in the hearts of the students and the fruit of the school's hard labor is seen in the lives changed by Christ.

RUN! Do not just walk away from this place. Don’t lock yourself into a contract. As soon as the dog and pony show that you get on the tour is over, you will see who some of these people really are.We moved our kids from public school believing it would be worth the investment to give them what we thought would be a Christian education. We deeply regret that decision.Bullying was a significant issue for our family, and based on what we observed, it was worse than what we saw in public school. It felt like the administration tried as hard as they could to try and sweep it under the rug until it got undeniable.Academically, the experience has been extremely disappointing. We are now seriously considering hiring tutors over the summer just to help them catch back up.We paid the tuition, but would not recommend this school, even with a voucher.

ECS is a school that truly cares for its students and families. They see the importance of viewing every part of life through the Gospel lens. They teach our children to do everything (academics, athletics, fine arts, etc) for the Glory of God.

We were trying to give this public school a chance.... I'm not impressed with Macon Hall Elementary School in Cordova Tn... My grandson will be returning to private school immediately...

This school has one of the most negative environments I had seen. Parents were never involved. Teachers were always in a crappy mood. They are unorganized. Kids were constantly punished and it was the same kids sitting a lone in class or at lunch. How is a kid supposed to have better behavior when you keep punishing him instead of helping him? I remember what was supposed to be a field day was such a joke. One game was played and all they did was sit on the grass. So glad my kids was able to leave. Unfortunately, until now, they're school traffic at pick-up in the afternoons is a mess. I remember the principal was a parent at another mscs school and was on the PTA. Which she would have given the same effort as a principal.

Wonderful school and the location is great! Very safe. They met all our expectations and with helping out special needs children. The teachers are very respectful as well, I never have had an issue. I attended here myself when I was younger for about two years. Would recommend to other parents.
