Read what parents are saying about St Bernard Elementary SchoolMy son loves School because its just wonderful. Staff is amazing. The teachers are thoughtful and caring. They are like a second family to my son.
Posted by a parent on 1/16/2017Catholic school is a life style choice, not just a building. As a parent and an educator I see the wonderful environment St. Bernard creates for my children. They are very well educated, respected, and enveloped in an environment of Catholic values, love and service. We are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful academy and parish. My children are thriving academically, socially, and religiously. St. Bernard is not just a school, it's an experience, and one I am proud to have my family be a part of.
Posted by a parent on 1/12/2017My kids started with the Toddler program when they weren’t even 2 years old. As the school has now transitioned into Saint Bernard Catholic Academy, it continues to provide an excellent education with a dedicated and talented staff. The principal and faculty go above and beyond to make the school a well-rounded place to learn and grow. They dedicate their time to teach the children, values, respect, and reliability on a daily basis. The school offers additional programs such as music, various different clubs for boys and girls, technology, step-dance, etc for enrichment of the children. Even though I am a working parent, I am an active member of the Academy and Parish and this makes me proud because my children love to see me involved. My Husband and I are both products of Catholic education and I am happy to give my children the same foundation and spiritual experience. I tried moving my oldest child in Kindergarten to the gifted and talented class at the local Public School and he developed anxiety, was extremely unhappy and not focused in school. Within 2 weeks, the Principal at St. Bernard reached out to me and said “The doors are always opened for him”. Without hesitation, I transferred my Son back to St. Bernard and he is extremely happy and a First Honors student. This has been one of the best decisions I made in sending my children to St. Bernard Catholic Academy. It is by far the best in the community.
Posted by a parent on 5/13/2016My children have received a fantastic education from the first day they stepped foot in St. Bernard School. They started with the toddler time program where they weren't even 2 and from that point their love of this school grew (as did ours). Even now as the school has transitioned to St. Bernard Academy, the teachers, principal, and entire staff have remained constant and dedicated and my two daughter love going to "their" school and I value the education they are receiving at St. Bernard Catholic Academy. It is by far the tops in our community, you will be hard pressed to find a better Catholic education anywhere!!
Posted by a parent on 5/1/2016My 3 children have attended St. Bernard Simce they were 3 years old. It is more then a school it is a family. The principal and faculty go above and beyond to make this school a well rounded place to learn and grow.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy mom was a lunch aide at this school for almost 20 years and my daughter has been going here since Pre-K. My mom passed in 2018 and my daughter begged me to keep her enrolled here because she felt "safe". Worst decision of my life. My moms personal belongings from her locker went missing. We were promised support and therapy for my daughter - never happened. Staff members would continuously ask her about my mom when she asked them not to. She's been bullied. This year being her last year there her classroom or my sons classroom was constantly closed due to COVID. My infant son ended up in ICU after contracting it from his sister. Then shortly after this past April/May she was ICU and what does the caring staff do - call ACS. Upon her return to school she calls me from the bathroom crying saying a lot of the teachers including the assistant principal aren't speaking to her. My daughter is very well known at this school so she took this very personal. This school has went downhill ever since Ms Esposito left. The new principal does nothing for the children, doesn't engage with families and the school is just a mess. Avoid sending your child here if you can.Parent Review1y ago - Ps 276 Louis Marshall

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had a child in school since 2018. This will be my last year at the school. I am outraged at how they treat oil families. The school is changing too , and not for the better. There’s plenty of other options in the neighborhoodParent Review7mo ago
