Read what parents are saying about Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic AcademyMy daughter loves this school and so do I. The faculty truly cares about the children at the school.
Posted by a parent on 9/25/2018Excellent education from wonderful, dedicated and effective teachers and staffs. It is more than a school it is family like environment where they treat kids and parents with respect and dignity. Curriculum is well balanced and emphasized on academics, societies and Catholic values. Lets not forget the choir leds by Mrs.Joseph, brand new live stream for our futur engineers, dance, the afterschool program helping with homeworks and late shift parents.MQHCA IS Definitely THE PLACE TO BE!!!!
Posted by a parent on 9/24/2018The school is very clean and welcoming. The teachers here are wonderful and you can tell they genuinely care about their students. They encourage students to be respectful and dedicated to their studies. I especially appreciate the focus on religious instruction. I wish they had a foreign language or some music or sports program, that is something that is lacking. I feel my child is receiving a great education in book studies as well as life lessons.
Posted by a parent on 11/20/2017Poor. Sorry I sent my child there. Moe my child is behind at another school. When I asked my child if he likes his new school. He said thr teachers have a. different attitude and the learning is better.
Posted by a parent on 10/13/2017Steadily declining, my child has been there from pre-k to 4th and I am frantically looking to move him/her. Every year except kindergarten and 1st grade, its been a new teacher, who is a brand new teacher. With inexperience comes no classroom management, not completing the curriculum and having students behind when children go to other summer academic programs. The principal is brash and rude to parents constantly. Discipline is corporal punishment involving standing in the sun on line while watching others play at recess, denying students their once a week gym. My child has a hard time adapting to new people so I've been ignoring, a lack of a proper or safe playground, no functioning water coolers, no 2nd language, lack of sports or athletic program etc but I draw the line at deficient academics. Their most recent state scores show most of the students earning lots of 2's, in most instances more 2's than 3's, hardly any 4's. Though its now an academy that's a joke since you can't contact board members to voice concerns/issues without going through the school and making your child a target for the principal and others.

This is because I still go here and we need hall monitors because kids are bullying each other it's not fair to those who behave.Student Review3mo ago - Ps 236 Mill Basin

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy mom was a lunch aide at this school for almost 20 years and my daughter has been going here since Pre-K. My mom passed in 2018 and my daughter begged me to keep her enrolled here because she felt "safe". Worst decision of my life. My moms personal belongings from her locker went missing. We were promised support and therapy for my daughter - never happened. Staff members would continuously ask her about my mom when she asked them not to. She's been bullied. This year being her last year there her classroom or my sons classroom was constantly closed due to COVID. My infant son ended up in ICU after contracting it from his sister. Then shortly after this past April/May she was ICU and what does the caring staff do - call ACS. Upon her return to school she calls me from the bathroom crying saying a lot of the teachers including the assistant principal aren't speaking to her. My daughter is very well known at this school so she took this very personal. This school has went downhill ever since Ms Esposito left. The new principal does nothing for the children, doesn't engage with families and the school is just a mess. Avoid sending your child here if you can.Parent Review1y ago - Ps 251 Paerdegat

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageP.S. 326 is undoubtedly one of the top early childhood schools in NYC. From the the teachers and the principal, front office team, school counselor, nurses, security guards and overall staff, there is a strong sense of family. The special people who make this place genuinely care for the children and love the work they do - they go above and beyond to give your child a sense of belonging, all while engaging them in developing a passion for learning. The principal is unlike any I have ever witnessed (even as a child going through the NYC school system myself); she is very involved and pretty much knows every student by first name. She also stands outside to greet the students every morning! Our 3-K team was phenomenal, especially being this was the rollout year for 3-K (which happened to fall during the pandemic). The teachers developed a curriculum suitable for the age group and coordinated so many fun arts and crafts projects and other activities (e.g., dance classes, apple painting, introduction to careers, teeth brushing, gardening/planting, tours inside a fire truck and a garbage truck [they parked right outside the school!] and much more!). My son loved going to school every day, but most importantly he grew and learned so much. We're beyond grateful for this experience and for all of the love and hard work the P.S. 326 family puts in to making this institution a home away from home. Thank you!Parent Review1y ago - Midwood Catholic Academy
