Read what parents are saying about Hasbrouck Heights High SchoolI would rate this school as a 2/10. It is a controlled disaster. They ran out of printer paper once so all our tests were on colored arts and crafts paper, they ran out of tissues, and they can't fix certain appliances. Admin doesn't put students first. People cut corners here all the time-- even literal corners, as the hallway corners here aren't cleaned and are disgusting. But I'm sure the meager salary of the janitors means carelessness, as most of the money thrown around here goes directly to paychecks for administrators and professionals. A lot of students here vape, bully others (especially), and create a toxic environment for everyone. The admin knows it, but they try to convince themselves that the "Stop Bullying" poster in the 2nd floor hallway is making everyone feel better. This school highlights everything that is wrong with the school system today.
Posted by a student on 4/20/2020Its a pretty eh school. There isn't much to do here so.
Posted by a parent on 1/24/2020Do not consider this school as Good! The reviews are deceiving and some may even be fake.My experience as a student was horrendous.Desks and equipment are outdated and in terrible condition. The school refuses to fix anything unless its broken and teachers treat students with apathy. The water fountains are filthy and classrooms have chipped paint. Most of the budget goes to teachers and teacher benefits. Administration is treated like gold and students are considered last.less than 7% of the budget goes into equipment and teacher salaries are through the roof. Children in the school whose parents are friends with administration are excused from wrongdoings. Staff show heavy favoritism and are easily allowed to get away with demeaning students and dismiss complaints as indignant humor.
Posted by a community member on 9/3/2016I lived in HH for some of middle school & one year of high school. The school is good about education, but they don't care about bullying. They actually made it worse for me. When I reported my problem, they told the student "Stop bullying ____." This obviously made things worse. There's SO much drama, every single day! Many students are rude to students who aren't wealthy, or new to the town. (This isn't just coming from me). It's a suburban NJ high school, so this is to be expected.I moved to a bad high school nearby, but I'm actually much happier.
Posted by a student on 7/31/2015I graduated from HHHS in 2000. I had no issues with the school, class sizes, or teachers. I enjoyed my time spent there.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is OK. Leadership and administration are lackluster at best. Individual teachers are excellent but are working in restrictive backwards looking ways due to policies and practices from a senior team who has mistaken stagnation for stability. The facilities and educational programmes at the school are patchy, leaving children with restricted access to gifted and talented programmes, STEM, arts and music programmes.Parent Review4y ago - Lincoln Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey’ve tried to hold my child back almost every year and the reason is because he is shy & quite. He’s an only child he’s not used to being around lots of people, so he’s quite. He has a few friends that he is close with that’s all that matters. My child and I only liked one teacher so far (Ms.Nalbandiani, she really is a gem). This school needs a play ground kids are outside just standing or running in a parking lot. There’s not much for them to do activity wise for recess. Chalk is not activity by the way. Maybe a slide or jungle gym would suffice. I’m already planning on pulling him out after this year and putting him in a better school. 5/10 is not good for a school that used to be a 10.Parent Review4y ago - Roosevelt
