Columbus Elementary School

I have 2 daughters in Columbus Elementary and couldn't be more happy. My daughters are getting 100% support for their academic and outside the school activities. They are both taking a lot of time off from their regular learning to be able to follow their dreams. The school Principal and their teachers are very supportive and proud of their achievements. "We are trying to create opportunities for our students, that's wat we do here" Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement. I don't know if we could do what we do in different school.

Above average. The fifth grade teachers are not as involved as I had hoped, given that they are the last teachers to have our children.

I really want to rate it "BAD" for what was done to my son, but I'll rate it average for the sake of being nice. Before my son was diagnosed with ADHD, it was evident that his behavior was a problem, but I expected the school to handle it better. Instead I received phone call after phone call about his disruptive behavior and at one point I was asked to leave him home during the Kindergarten graduation because "he would ruin it for everybody". Needless to say that was the last day they saw our faces. I wrote a letter to the department of special services to get him evaluated and out of that school. My daughter is now attending Kindergarten and I was dreading the idea of her going there. I am grateful she does not have the same challenges and I'm hopeful that one day I can come back here and change my rating. We shall see.

My school is Columbus Elementary. This school by far is amazing. The PTO has great members and executive board. This year we are going to have an amazing year with the amazing Board Members we have representing the PTO. The Schools Slogns is FOR THE KIDS ABOUT THE KIDS. Everything the PTO Members do is exactly that. Its all For the Kids About the Kids. Columbus Elementary School has the Best PTO in Lodi...So when someone who obviously has a grudge against the school because they did not get their way at some point Talks Garbage about an Amazing PTO, All I can say is I truly fee sorry for this person.

If your child has any learning or behavioral issues, do not expect to get help for them at this school. I've been shocked by the lack of positive behavioral approaches and the reliance on punishment. In my opinion they are not in compliance with State mandates on Child Find and and positive discipline.
