Read what parents are saying about Two Rivers High SchoolAs the parent of 3 students that attended and were active in this school, who all went on to college and major professions, I can honestly say that the facility support and learning environment was excellent. It is not perfect, but community involvement and investment in the school is outstanding. We ourselves have sponsored 10 major scholarships in commitment to graduates of this school and have supported AP, music, and PSEO programs.
Posted by a parent on 10/24/2019I went to Sibley for my freshman and sophomore year. I ended up switching to a local private school for my last two years of high school. My experience at Sibley was average to below average. If you are looking for challenging classes, Sibley has them, and overall provided me with a good education. The downfall is that the average level classes are pure chaos. There is very little learning, and teachers have a difficult time controlling students, taking away from learning time. Many students badly behave and the best word I can describe it as is chaos. If you are looking to be in a well-controlled environment with well-behaved students, your only option is to take all AP or advanced classes, which still doesn't make up for the overall school environment.
Posted by a student on 12/14/2018I went to Sibley for my entire high school education, and I can honestly say that they helped me transition from high school to college with ease. As with other schools, there are some problems with certain teachers and students, but overall it was a very positive experience. It is a large school so the class sizes vary, but I never had more than 30 people per class, and most times it was only 20-25. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the AP and PSEO programs they have because it helped me to get my associates degree by the time I graduated high school. I would recommend this school 10/10.
Posted by a student on 5/15/2015This is a really great school with a lot of academic and extracurricular opportunities. The AP programming is great and I know several students that have gone on to prestigious colleges in and out of MN and have accomplished careers. I think the district overall is doing an excellent job and this school is performing especially well considering the challenges that come with the level of racial and economic diversity that other suburban districts don't face. From a parent's perspective, I would say Sibley provides an excellent springboard to college and the next phase of a young adult's life.
Posted by a parent on 7/24/2014Has many underqualified and unsuitable teachers who seem to hate their job and coming to school each day. These teachers take out their frustrations on students to (varying) degrees and just give poor quality education. I've had several teachers admit to their classes that the majority of students in said class were either failing or close to. There are, however, a few diamonds in the rough. Hopefully those teachers move onto bigger and better schools. Aside from that, the school itself is decent and well kept. They just need to be more serious on their quality control when it comes to teachers.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been so impressed with Moreland Elementary for my kids. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to create a welcoming environment and bring unique experiences to the kids. The ARTS curriculum and residency programming is very sweet. There are many fun, free family events to participate in through the year. A lovely community!Parent Review5mo ago - Somerset Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from another district to attend this school, and it was well worth it. Our child is thriving in kindergarten. The kindergarten teacher is fantastic and provides weekly updates about classroom activities. The school curriculum is centered on kindness and emotional health, which in turn creates a stable, supportive, environment for children to learn. The class size is small, so all the kids get enough individualized attention. The kids are reading, writing, and even creating their own stories! A counselor gives regular lessons on feelings, eg “what is empathy”. There are many other supportive services for specific student needs. (For example, one mom shared with me that she is very pleased with the many services her kid receives to address autism.). The students get lots of time outside to enjoy the beautiful wooded playground. My child’s classroom is small but diverse—economically, linguistically, and racially. We have received lots of support from other families who have been in the district a while and know how things operate. I have found all staff, most notably the principal and our child’s classroom teacher, to be extremely responsive. They answer all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. The school uses a restorative Justice model to address misbehavior—although it is rarely needed. Most importantly, our child is happy and secure. She wants to go to school every day. She comes home excited to share what she has learned. She is truly thriving, and we are so grateful to all the staff at Somerset.Parent Review1y ago - Mendota Elementary School

Every teacher there is very supportive and wants you to learn. So I would recommend Mendota 1000 times.Other Review6mo ago - St Joseph's School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you have a boy then they should not be sent to this school. The boy ratio is low and if you child isn't part of the in-crowd they are ignore and the teachers say the right things but nothing about bullying gets done. This school went with Singapore Math. They switched kids who hadn't had it before and now parents are paying for tutoring since Singapore Math puts your child behind in repetition items and what all middle schools are teaching. Very bad choice and should have been "grandfathered in" as children come into the school. Teachers don't even know how to teach it and not enough books until months into the school year. For what you pay, you don't get your money's worth!Parent Review2mo ago - Mississippi Valley Montessori School
