Read what parents are saying about St Casimir Catholic SchoolHave been at St Casimir School and this school is a gem. If you live in Baltimore City this school will keep you living in the city. The principal is wonderful. Mrs. Heffner - she knows all the parents, all the students by name, is always present and active at all school events. The teachers are caring, loving yet firm. The school community is very tight knit. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this school has been for our family. Kids are confident, happy and love school and learning, The school has a long history in Baltimore city with a beautiful church for mass services that students are encouraged to do readings for. The location in Canton makes opportunities for community activities and field trips very accessible.
Posted by a parent on 11/16/2021We are not Catholic, nor American, but this school was our first, and the best possible choice, for our kids. I like everything about that school. My kids excelled there and still making steady progress.
Posted by a parent on 10/26/2016What a wonderful place. It is very warm and accepting. Classes are extremely diverse, teachers areWONDERFUL (and diverse too)! Kids are doing wonderful things for the community and they learn so much! Even the little kids! I have nothing but love for my kids teachers they are great the principal she is nice too and cares very much all the time. Even when they are tired they are nice! They work hard and they are good to children there!
Posted by a community member on 3/31/2015St. Casimir is a warm and welcoming environment for students and parents. A great blend of academics and social engagement. It's a great option for private school in the city.
Posted by a parent on 3/3/2014Great school that's actually *in* the city. My child has loved her time there so far and we intend to enroll her again next year. It's clear that she is learning a good deal but, perhaps as importantly, and enjoying learning. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that they follow the county for weather-related delays/closures even though the school is, as I said, decidedly in the city and most students either live in the area or have parents who work in the area).

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWolfe Street Academy has been an excellent experience for our two children in 2016/17. Mr Gaither's active and hands-on leadership is very inspiring to students & parents alike. Ms Gross (3rd) & Ms Bucke (3rd) are amazing teachers who keep tabs on student's academic progress & wholesome development. The admin & support staff are welcoming and always helpful. There is an excellent (free) after school program. The kids are well behaved & friendly. The school does not have dedicated sports facilities but Mr Mavis makes good use of the multi-use hall for indoor sessions and the nearby Patterson Park is used for outdoor sports. It is unfortunate the hard-work of this great team is not reflected in the Test Scores due to the demographics of Fells Point, many of the students are from families that do not speak English as a first language.Parent Review5y ago - Hampstead Hill Academy

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was bullied, traumatized and physically abused at this school, and several teachers knew about everything he was put through and just turned a blind eye, and at one point even purposefully brushed an attack on my son under the rug and wasn't even going to call me and tell me. My son was verbally abused and threatened on a regular basis and at one point I finally had to call the police and file a report and remove my son from the school.Teachers are lazy, complacent, and just plain BAD at their jobs. Do not send your child to this school.Parent Review1y ago - William Paca Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDiscrimination at it's worst; I had the highest of expectations when I entered the lottery for my neighborhood school; My son is special needs and had the worst experience one could imagine at PPPCS. He was excluded from recess, field trips and suspended many times because of his disability. My son has autism and the school was not equipped to handle his needs. If I had known this I would have never entered the lottery. Reading all the reviews and speaking to other parent's, I never imagined such a bias would exist for children with special needs, but it does. If your child is not "perfect" he/she will not do well at PPPCS, that was our experience, very sad. Children should not be discriminated against , you would think in this day, things would be better; NEVER TRUST A "BOOK" BY IT'S COVER.Parent Review7y ago - Bishop John Neumann School
