Posted by a teacher on 4/6/2023Our kids have been going to FSK for five years now and it’s hard to find anything to complain about. We’ve really liked the teachers every year. The principal is really good and engaging. The PTO is very engaging and active. The school is growing, and probably as important is the area around the school is growing. I’m usually cautious of middle school age children but the middle school seems nice and safe and everyone seems respectful. The school is also very active on the communication to parents vis a social media platform which is just awesome! Oh and laptops being issued to every child and free breakfast, lunch and (I assume still) dinner is amazing to me. I recommend giving this school a look if you live anywhere in the city, even outside the school zone since they allow outsiders. It’s a gem.
Posted by a parent on 4/1/2023A model public school educating students from pre-k through 8th grade. Active PTO, dozens of community partners, focus on equitable offerings for students ranging from recipients of special education services through twice-exceptional gifted students. Beautiful green campus, access to adjacent public park and walking distance to the Inner Harbor and Fort McHenry National Monument. A great place to learn and support.
Posted by a parent on 5/12/2022An Excellent school wouldn't choose another school over FSK Great Principal ,GREAT Teachers just an all around TERRIFIC school
Posted by a parent on 11/14/2019This is only a good school for elementary students. The 7th and 8th grades do not even have a math teacher! They're putting these children at risk of being behind their peers. I'm considering pulling my son out because of this and the behavior of some of these kids. They've had problems issues with teachers at the Middle school level for the past 2 3 years and they can't seem to find an administrative assistant who isn't rude.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave been at St Casimir School and this school is a gem. If you live in Baltimore City this school will keep you living in the city. The principal is wonderful. Mrs. Heffner - she knows all the parents, all the students by name, is always present and active at all school events. The teachers are caring, loving yet firm. The school community is very tight knit. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this school has been for our family. Kids are confident, happy and love school and learning, The school has a long history in Baltimore city with a beautiful church for mass services that students are encouraged to do readings for. The location in Canton makes opportunities for community activities and field trips very accessible.Parent Review2y ago - Catholic Community School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNew Century is more than just a preschool; it's a community that nurtures the holistic development of its students. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a place for my child's formative years. The school has a unique blend of warmth, creativity, and academics that reflects the Montessori philosophy. The teachers are the heart and soul of this institution. Their dedication to understanding each child's individual needs and fostering their innate curiosity is amazing. My child has developed a genuine love for learning, and I attribute this to the hands-on, self-paced, and exploratory nature of the Montessori method employed here.Parent Review7mo ago
