Horrible school. The kids are out of control. They fight everyday. My child was attacked by another student. Beaten until her eyes closed. Do not SEND YOUR KID HERE.

Posted by a parent on 10/5/2017Sunset Acres has some really wonderful and dedicated teachers. The administration needs a lot of improvement/purging. If you are a parent, your child will likely have a good teacher and will learn a lot with your involvement. If you are a teacher looking for a job, please don't do it.

They know the type of children they are working with, and they truly know how to communicate with them. As a substitute teacher, I have worked there a whole lot, and at other schools around shreveport, and I am totally impressed with the order, from the organization of the administration, to the cleanliness and children friendly atmosphere of the school. It is on par with some of the magnet schools I have seen, really! Both teachers were wonderful! My youngest had some delays before starting school this year, but she is now reading and writing above grade level so I couldn’t be happier. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur children currently attend Southfield School. They wake up every morning excited to go to school. They are so happy once we arrive on campus that they want to run inside. We started out in PreK2 and are now in lower school. We love how they focus on development of the child as whole. It is such a happy and welcoming campus everywhere you walk. All of the staff are kind and encouraging.
