Rising Star Elementary School

There was so much bullying at this school, a kid brought a BB gun in their backpack. There are very few teachers who actually care about the kids. Most teachers and staff are reactionaries and rely on punishment instead of creating a safe and supportive classroom. They will blame the parents for every issue and will not accept constructive criticism. I highly recommend avoiding this school.

Cliquish, culturally exclusive, lacks diversity. Poor leadership, fake teachers/families no push for inclusion or change.

Wonderful school and amazing teachers that care.

The staff and leaders at this school and in this district were not people we wanted influencing the development of our children. We left the district after numerous examples of incompetence, poor and even disrespectful communication, and a general posture of defiance in response to our genuine concerns. The principal is inexperienced, which seems to be the source of so many missteps. We know from other families there’s a growing discontent with the leadership and a hope that the principal’s tenure is short. Perhaps the school has a chance to recover or redirect with new leadership. Without a change in leadership, this is a building I’d recommend that people avoid.
