Apache Elementary School

My child has experienced racism, bullying, and retaliation from the principal and teachers at Brookridge. I have concerns regarding the principal's professionalism. My child reported new teachers yelling at students and physical misconduct towards students. It appears that if a parent expresses disagreement with the principal, she may inform her staff, leading to retaliation against the parent and child. Minority children seem to receive disparate treatment from the principal and staff. Although the school boasts diversity, the staff lacks representation of diversity. Lacks the educational support for students. These allegations warrant investigation and change.

very nice teachers, but the leadership such as the principals are questionable. two fights happened in one school year, and it took them almost a month and a half to find out. also, melissa green was very rude, and extremely nosy. the secretaries at the front desk were a 6/10, two of them were nice and the other two were rude and dismissive. teachers don't care about bullying until the victim fights back. wouldn't recommend as an amazing school, but it's not like you're gonna get jumped or anything. 3/5 rating.

This school is awful!! The teachers are constantly screaming at the kids about everything. I tried to bring my concerns up to the principal and she brushed it off. I got a call from DCF the day after I reported everything to the district. Not really a coincidence. Luckily the case was open and shut.

Solid educators who really care about the community and their students! Above and beyond

This school is great when it comes to the teaching aspect. If you have a child in the SPED program then I do not recommend this school whatsoever!! I am a parent with a disability and I ended up getting pushed out of the decision-making process with both of my kids IEP meetings and evaluations. I was not allowed to attend in person meetings unless security was present or they had to be WebEx. I had a disability response that was non threatening, but the administration decided to frame it as threatening even though I had documentation proving that nobody felt threatened. I ended up pulling my kids from the district and putting them into a new district simply because I couldn't handle the stress of what the district was putting my family through.
