Read what parents are saying about Goethe Elementary SchoolWe relocated from Michigan to chicago and have found so much more joy at this school. The community of parents is incredibly supportive. The school has an abundance of after school programs to keep the kids engaged, even optional field trips on saturdays! Following Covid, my daughter was behind in reading but the teacher was able to bring her up to exceeding expectations. We are so grateful for the staff and community we have because of Goethe.
Posted by a parent on 9/28/2023Goethe is an amazing school with such great supports. We transferred to this school because of the inclusive, supportive environment and we couldn’t be happier with how they have dealt with both of our very different children.
Posted by a parent on 9/28/2023Beyond our kids having access to an amazing education and additional opportunities for sports, creativity, clubs, etc., Goethe is more than just a school--it's a community. We felt welcomed right from the beginning and everyone strives to foster a connected, caring, and inclusive environment. The teachers and staff are great, the education is challenging yet flexible, and their focus on supporting social-emotional learnings has been a game changer in our kids behavior and approach to the world. Goethe really is a special place.
Posted by a parent on 9/28/2023Came to Goethe after another experience at a CPS school left our family feeling defeated and disconnected and it has been great. Both kids feel like they have found a home. Teachers, admin and community are incredibly supportive and engaged. Really wonderful environment that values both academics and community.
Posted by a parent on 9/28/2023We have been so impressed with the academics and SEL integration at Goethe. We couldn’t be happier and recommend Goethe to everyone!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from Brentano many moons ago and now, my children attend the school. I absolutely love the school and staff at Brentano but most importantly, my babies love it. They wake up excited to go to school everyday. My 5 year old does yoga and was taught to recycle. The school also offers before and after care through Right At School which makes life on working parents much easier.Parent Review11mo ago - Chase Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDarwin Principal and Assistant Principal and staff are poorly trained. The school is severely understaffed but have $15 grant in 2023. During that year the biggest purchase was over 20 fish tanks planted throughout the school, now in 2024 not one is in sight. There is so much bullying and racism at this school it’s painful, so not send your child here. If you do not follow the underlying rules placed by staff you are labeled a threat and will be treated differently.Parent Review3mo ago - Drummond Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDrummond has been a welcoming community for our family (early childhood). Our child’s teacher is attentive to her learning needs and sparks creativity and imagination in all of the students. The kids get a good amount of outside play time and plenty of opportunity to explore the arts through special classes daily. The principal has been responsive and engaged, and parents are quite involved.Parent Review2mo ago - Moos Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our third year as a Moos parent, now we have two children attending. We’re very happy with our kids education so far and as parents were getting more and more involved with the various parent organizations to continually raise funds and help support ongoing initiatives. We value their dual language program and are excited that our first grader is becoming bilingual! The principal is accessible and timely in her responses if I ever had questions/concerns. I definitely recommend Moos to other prospective parents.Parent Review7mo ago - Pulaski International School of Chicago

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is entering his 3rd year at Pulaski International School. I'm a big fan of the principal, teachers, the support staff, and the extremely active parent groups at Pulaski.I'm thrilled this school goes to great lengths to meet my child's individual needs not just academically, but socially and emotionally (he's emotionally immature). I would strongly recommend this CPS to anyone considering PIS. Go Sabers :)Parent Review8mo ago - Yates Elementary School
