Read what parents are saying about William Howard Taft Elementary SchoolThe staff - including everyone - were kind and thoughtful people in my experience there. I don't have a single bad thing to say about them.
Posted by a community member on 11/14/2019The staff is really the best as far as being friendly and effective. Amazing teachers and leadership. We are excited for our upcoming years at Taft. I know so many families who open enroll instead of going to their home school (Taft). Most have never even toured the school. I tell everyone in our neighborhood to "check it out." Plus, it is really nice to walk your kid to school, if possible.
Posted by a parent on 7/30/2018We love Taft! It is a great school, with teachers that care, and lots of learning. We love the diversity of students, and the overall teamwork we see at Taft. I am so glad we moved into the Taft area and get to attend such a great public school. If you are moving to the area, give Taft a try. The rating on this website is baised off of parent reviews, and because of the diversity at Taft, not every parent is able to rate the school. I work for the district, and think Taft is really one of the best elementary schools in the district!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to Boise from the East Coast, (NYC) and I'm very pleased with the school, the teachers and the way I can interact with other parents about the well-being and education of my children. My children are getting a real education in a caring, safe and beautiful environment we never had in NYC. The respect I have for the teacher/student relationship is very high. More importantly, my children are excelling academically and they are learning history, math and English in a way that they also appreciate our community and our country. I've seen some parents get upset over such minor things and think they must walk in my shoes to see what a blessing this school is and Boise as a whole for me and my family. We traded concrete for trees and I think we made the best choice for our family. We found a great community and a wonderful school to go along with all the good things in Boise. 1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think this school has really good intentions and teaches the children well. However, I did have a hard time with getting some of the staff to intervene with bullying. Other than that it was a good school for my children.Parent Review1y ago - Lowell Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe open enroll at Whittier for the dual language program. My kids range from typical to mild special needs and they love going to school here thanks to the dedicated and talented staff and diverse student body. It's also a community school, meaning there is extra support for kids' learning needs, and after school child care right on site. It's a shame this website gives Whittier 2/10 based on arbitrary test results. It's a solid 10/10 in my book!Parent Review1y ago - Learning Treeinc
